Assuming the photo on the official site is how it is at the moment it’s not looking promising. Some pretty obvious frost patches.
Our fanbase is the same as it was the last time we were in this league. You could give tickets away with packs of crisps and we will still get the same amount of fans.
So lets just fleece the non ST holders that do come eh?…….Brilliant,[/quote]
Well if you’re expecting me, as an upfront paying season ticket holder to subsidise the once in a blue moon merchants you can think again. Stuff them. If they don’t want to pay £24 for a top of the table Boxing Day game then balls to them.
They took my money last Monday.
But you wasn’t winding me up was you. You was having a public skrike on facebook. And you got slagged off by so many people you embarked on a face saving exercise. I have 2 spare tickets if you want them.
I suspect you’re better at backtracking.
I still think the club has done the best and fairest thing. Its pure chance whether you get drawn out or not.It matters not one jot whether you are one who goes home and away every week, or if you are a home game boycotter who goes most away or whatever. Actually, anybody without a ST is unable to apply, anyway.
This Ballot System- For season ticket holders only, the people who have already put money forward and showed faith to the club. And there will be NO GENERAL sale.
Don’t get me wrong, if it had been a case that Joe Public couldve registered, even if they dont have a Season Ticket, I’d be fuming and going nuts. But fact is, the club has basically made it Season Ticket holdera only, and made it a simple lottery out of all who register.
Club couldn’t have been fairer, in all honesty. Any season ticket holder who registers as has much chance as the next ST holder who has registered. Theres no need for 5am queuing (I was expecting to) and it also irradicates the smugness of people who gloatingly post “I logged on online at 5 past nine and was sorted in 2 minutes”. Hard lines on that score! Ha ha.
So why have you already been on Facebook skriking and whinging and saying that the club will be down by 4 season tickets next season. Presumably you wasn’t drawn out but despite saying above that the ballot is the best and fairest way to do it your dummy has been well and truly spat out.
From what I hear, everybody who applied will get one, as demand was nowhere near what they were expecting. I stress though, that that hasn’t come from an official source, but someone who has been right about things in the past.
Why only the first 100 sign ups? Make it 500 its hardly going to be a full house against the cod men!Edit..I see that prat is still dicking about with the karma!
Didn’t you accuse somebody on vital of being childish yesterday yet here you are still rattling on about this karma garbage. I believe you was challenged on here to prove who messed about with this karma stuff. And didn’t rise to the challenge. At least you’re consistent in that respect.
Hells teeth Bullitt. I know you’re not averse to making a prick of yourself but this is a new low even for you.
I think there is a less than 1 in 3 chance of winning the draw because no way will all 1300+ Tickets be up for grabs.
You don’t half overhear a lot of stuff bullitt.
I was told in the South Stand Bar before the game but it couldn’t be officially announced until the league rubber stamped it.
Hands up. You’ve got me there. I just don’t want to miss out on the glory of being there on the night that we could qualify for the knockout stage of the Checkatrade.com. Maybe I could sneak in as a concession and not have to fork out a tenner. After all ten’s plenty. Isn’t It?
Look at what I said on the Quiet Again thread and look at what I said on this one and there is no discrepancy. My protest is against under 21 teams. Not lower division teams. Accrington have a genuine right to be in the competition. Boro and others don’t. The difference between me and you is that I follow up on what I say. If I said I wasn’t going to pay more than 20 quid I wouldn’t turn around and pay more than 20 odd quid. If I said I was sending my season ticket back I would send it back if I truly believed in what I said. I said I will boycott under 21 teams. I did and I’ll carry on doing it.
We both know you can’t say you’ve stuck to what you’ve said. Weak and hypocritical.
Jr I was one of those that refused to go the other night. It might have only been a token gesture but I felt I needed to show my disdain for the way a competition designed for lower division clubs has been used to help premier league clubs who wouldn’t lift a finger to help a lower club if they were in trouble.
It’s the first time I can remember that I’ve actually chosen to miss a home match. Hopefully it’s the last but if we draw another such team later in the competition I will do the same again. I generally enjoy watching our youngsters even in pre season friendlies and I’ll be at the Accy match.
It’s a point of principle like the twentys plenty campaign. But that failed because those that talked about not paying more than 20 quid ended up doing and defeated their own campaign.
