There is also Premier league fixtures that day which Sky will have there say on that I presume a Premier league match will be shown on the early kick off Saturday and as ESPN have the late slot it is logical for that time to be chosen I’m afraid

Airbus UK are doing quite well – they play at Broughton, just over the border past Chester.

The UK teams don’t seem to meet in the early rounds. Is that just coincidence, I wonder, or are they deliberately kept apart?

Are you Ironing board George or that Cheesman fella ?

Looks like a stock pile of pies from local pie shops is needed with the prices at Wembley

Whereas most concourses in new stadiums so far built in this country are normally rather drab affairs, with a combination of breeze blocks and cladded piping, being predominantly on view, at Wembley it is different. For once someone has had the vision to hide these ugly features, with timber rafting and well positioned lighting, giving a modern stylish look. Apparently there is one refreshment till per 100 spectators in the stadium. Whether that is a good or bad ratio, in terms of queuing times, remains to be seen. The catering is provided by the same American company who also supply and run the catering at Arsenal. Prices have always been historically expensive at Wembley and the new stadium certainly follows in the tradition here; Various pies £4.50 (which although expensive are excellent), Stonebaked Pizza (£4.30), Foot Long Hot Dog (£5.40), Mexican style Nachos (£4.50), Chicken Dippers (£6), plus you can have a Pie & Pint for £8.30.

I don’t wish them well at all and I hope they lose. There are many in Wigan who follow football but follow other teams. I’ve followed another team since the 70’s and that doesn’t change because my home town club play in the premiership.

                  Tic’s win the FA Cup!!
                  Somehow I don’t see it

                            According to the BBC:

“Everton suffered their first-ever defeat to Wigan Athletic at Goodison Park, this after winning five and drawing two of their previous seven meetings with the Latics there”.

Must have dreamed the other win too!

Could have done with Reading and Villa drawing really ! QPR winning is not good for us either ! Next week is crucial as is the game after that but if they play like they did today then we should get at least 4 points out of them if not all 6 !

That’s it Phil. You find that negative![/quote]

The people on here who do know me know that I am quite the opposite of miserable and if you want to believe the idiot who says I leave early every home game then more fool you ! Yes I did walk out at half time last week but that was shite and we had been drinking solidly for 3 hours pre kick off and just decided that the pub was the answer for the second half. If I am not allowed to comment on the evident problems we have had at the back without people suggesting I do the job instead then it is a poor do that is all I can say, an all too typical riposte it would seem ! I am an avid fan who wants the team to do better and so I like to get my concerns across and if you perceive that as being miserable then you are severely misconstrued.
