Scharner is our best player by a country mile and yes 3 million might be a good price but what price our place in the Premier League?Sell our best players in january and i cannot see anything other than relegation im afraid.

The Darlo game felt good because 1500 of us screamed and shouted and encouraged those players to win that game to stay in THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE!That is a f@@@ing relegation battle without a doubt when you league status and very existence is under threat!
Only a three or four clubs were involved in the scrap that year not 14-where is the satisfaction in competing when clubs ‘compete’ in cup competions fielding their reserves and youths.
That is not competion it is just treading water and quite a few people are starting to vote with their feet because of it.

Club before Premier greed sorry League every time!
Best memories are of the supporters club at Springy sat having a moan after the game a real family atmosphere.I also took my son aged 4 to his first game which was a relegation battle against Darlington 1994 i think. 2-0 win ensured survival and it felt as good as any games i have seen in the PL so far.
I will support the club regardless of the division and whilst very proud of Latics and the acheivements the PL is a dull league where 14 clubs fight relegation each year and sacrifice absolutely everything for just that.
Roy Hodgson was even talking about pulling away from the relegation pack a couple of weeks ago and he was in the top ten at the time!
Surely that is not what football is all about?

is at the end of this month the half way stage of the season. If he has 23 or 24 points on the board (hmmmm) at that point then that would be in my view in light of the past month reasonable to say the least.
I feel sorry for him he is a (too??) decent man still learning his trade as a manager and i feel he needs to apply some steel instead of sitting them all down with an iced lolly and a pat on the head(metaphorically speaking) when only half a job is done.
