Madine has joined Hartlepool , seems to have led a lively life but scored a good goal a couple of years ago in a very memorable game against Blackpool.
Will be gutted to see Sam go , easily man of the match last Saturday but come on lad no disrespect, Plymouth Argyle FFS ??!
Surely better locations and clubs for an England U21 international to go to rather than there.Another ‘unnamed’ championship club in the hunt also , sinking ship or what ?
Men against boys , could easily have been 5 or 6 bar Sam Tickle.
After seeing that I fear the worst for this season and beyond I really do.
Effort was there but overriding fact is they are simply not good enough for this division and without some investment in the team will sink fast.
Back to non league very soon with this policy I fear , worst team I have seen since the dark days of 1993-94 with Kenny Swain trying his best with very little.
Feel sorry for Maloney , not his fault.Good post as always CW , cannot disagree with any of that.
This squad and pre season puts me in mind of season 1992- 93.
We all know how that ended and started a massive fall that was only rescued by DW when the club was on its arse.
Without a bit of investment in the team we could well end up where he found us almost 30 years to the day.9078

Game is knackered and so far removed from what I became hooked with as a child.
Totally ruined by corporate entities but watch them disappear as the grounds empty up over next few years because they will !They had a good time rubbishing Latics this time last year and for most of the season on the boards after some
Of the defeats.
Good news for us though , 4500 of them against the few bus loads from Oxford on a Tuesday night likely.Always disliked Barnsley since 2020 however that vitriol faded massively the other night due to their incredible second half performance and spirit.
It was a game that will stay with me for a very long time , outstanding.
To say they deserved to win the tie is an understatement because that second half from them was breathtaking.
Had Sam Cosgrove converted his chance for 4-2 they’d have gone to pieces no doubt about that.
Bolton seemingly cannot handle blood and thunder football but have to say if that game on Tuesday is anything to go by it should be one hell of a final.
Have a feeling they will do it this time though.Despise Barnsley , with the Horwich lot it’s more a comedy rivalry as we always stuff them these days.
Barnsley is personal after 2020.
Horwich for me regardless of rivalry. The queues outside the east stand were unbelievable but sure I noticed closed turn styles that were opened swiftly afterwards.
The two ticket deal is all well and good if the logistics are in place but I feel they aren’t at present.
Another moan of mine is the queues for food and drink , the demand for this is massive but again I saw serving areas empty ???
I first sipped my pint as the second half commenced and missed the second goal as did many others.
I’m not sure if they have charge of the catering but if they are or when they get it back then have a look at this area of the business because from what I saw many many supporters want and require this service.
Get more serving areas built around the place.
that said a good performance yesterday and hopefully some new season tickets will be sold on the back of it.18250

Crap first half much the same as we have seen recently.
The second half was much better and the second Latics goal was superb and well worked.
Charlton looked a decent side who I would expect to be amongst it next season so no mean feat getting a point on their ground.
All that said I’m going to be positive and just say last night represented a milestone in that safety from relegation has been achieved once and for all.
That’s what he set out to do at the start of the season and that is what he has achieved with not much to work with.
At least we still have a club in the EFL not the Pub team standard of the NW counties. -
