thought the stand in players did very well today Stam,Gomez,Jones and I thought the makeshift team displayed real character to get a result from a game that we struggled in at times.
It had the feel of a grim afternoon in every sense but they did us proud with the character shown in the second half.1 Al Habsi.

Just driven along Chorley rd and passed a group of about ten of them riding two and three abreast.No hand signals and wearing very low visability clothing and a complete disregard of the fact that this is a very dangerous country lane with a national speed limit.Thick is not the word!

It’s saying something about how dangerous cycling is when people like Bradley Wiggins get thrown off his bike.Why oh why do they cycle in conditions that aren’t safe? The roads are far too narrow and dangerous to support the amount of cyclists cluttering up the roads at present.

I thought the cycling plebs would disappear when the winter set in but i saw one on his push rod last night in monsoon weather-why dont they go away ?Took my then four old son to his first game against Darlington in 93-94 season.Family battle with them all trying to get him to watch Wigan RL with kits and rugby balls bought for him.
Relegation battle is all he has to look forward to after that showing.
I like his half Bolton half Brummy accent almost like he cant work out where he is from.At least they have stopped playing that annoying (nah nah nah nah nah!) ice hockey style music after a goal is scored which i think wound opposing fans and players up alike.
It was taking the mick on a grand scale and made us look small time so the goal celebrations feel very natural and last longer in my view.
Dont forget the town is very famous for its soul music past and the ‘lets hang on’ song reflects that.Far better than One Direction trackss or some other naff pop idol cr@p.He held up play really well yesterday and i can see 15 goals from him this season.If i have a moan about today it was conceding that late goal when we had totally dominated the game and it seemed they had switched off at that point.
West Ham on that showing will certainly be in the relegation mix this season despite what their ass kissing media mates say. :lol:I cant see him dropping down the leagues like some have done-he doesnt need to do that.
He is better getting on the telly as a pundit and milking that for a few years.I think the pundits couch and after dinner circuit is his most likely destination now and it is sad to see his management career fall away like this.

We usually do well against direct teams and i think we will get our first home win this saturday21-year-old Leeds fan Aaron Cawley jailed for four months for assaulting Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland.I feel for his poor family who will no doubt be very upset, ashamed and suffering at the moment because of his stupid actions.
No matter what we think of him he is somebodies son/brother and he has messed his young life up trying to act hard in front of his mates.
I have a son around his age and he attends football matches in a good high spirited way like most lads his age but i know deep deep down he would never act like this at a football match.
It will deter others im sure from doing the same but the clubs have to provide adequate stewarding and policing to prevent this happening again especially during high risk matches such as the one this game was.
A massive lesson to young kids who attend matches and think it is big and clever to act in the manner like this fool did on friday night.
Im not sure the players celebration after the goal helped the situation either-seemed rather confrontational in my view.
