I thought this was a thread to congratulate Wigan on winning the league leaders shield on Sunday at HKR then winning the Carnegie nines at Leeds last night.
Last nights win was particularly impressive as it was achieved with a squad of U18 and U20 locally born players.
Tha didn’t make the big 1 tomorrow at Wembley.

I dont care if we go down and it doesnt really bother me too much if we have to sell off our best players thats just a fact of life when your a small club. What i will not accept in any way is that i have followed this club home and away for over 40 years and untill Martinez took charge this club has filled me with nothing but pride and success. Why should Wigan Athletic fans keep turning up to see their beloved club losing its dignity its pride and its heart and then listen to Whelan bang on about them staying away. Doesnt he realise it bloody hurts to see them lose narrowly so to see them thrashed regularly is too much to bare.Agree 100% dead right pal,MARTINEZ is destroying this club.

It can’t get any worse at the moment: 0 points, -10 goal difference, worst start by any team in Premier League history.
There’s still a handful of tough games, but I’m confident we’ll get at least a draw against Sunderland. If worst comes to it and we lose the next 3 games I’m sure there’ll have to be changes to the management, and from that we can start to play football instead of getting worse game-by-game.
One positive is that Spurs only have one fit striker, so there shouldn’t be another 9-1 battering!

A bit harsh. Bob is trying his best but is simply out of his depth and too scared to do anything different. He’s also lost the players who just look like scared rabbits most of the time.He should do himself a favour and walk. Maybe go abroad and he might gain valuable experience in a less pressurised environment.
