’Dupe’ so funny you are Griff, been on this board for nearly two years and it’s taking you this long to think of that. Have you considered becoming a comedian? You’re certaintly witty enough ;)
It’s took me two years to be bored enough to use it.
Anyway, I’m only pulling yer leg. I like taking the mick out of you because you don’t throw your toys out of the pram, like some ;)
I fear that may just be that now, Had the chance today but as the same for the last 2 seasons we cant finish and he won’t play 4-4-2 to give them a chance of finishing. i think we will get 4 points but I can see Wolves pulling clear. If they need to beat Rovers at home on the last day of the season to stay up they will. We can still win 3 games, It would be smashing Martinez’ woeful winning record but football is a funny game. Especially at this time of the season.
Without a shadow of a doubt Lionel Messi !
I think you have been listening to Tyldesley going way over the top in commentary backed up by his bumboy Townsend.
Is the above your own true opinion or are you simply led astray by the fierce opinions of a modern day football commentator?
I’m genuinely curious I see lots of people on forums having opinions which happen to have been formed by somebody on the telly. Perhaps if you watched the game muted you would have a different opinion?!
Regardless, the lad needs to transfer his ability to the international scene and win more across board trophies to be even considered up there with the best. My pick is Zidane for ability but most of all his club & international achievements which are breathtaking. The guy has won everything from club to personal awards.
I was kind of trying to make the same point but could not be arsed writing as much :D
First 3 paragraphs totally spot on, However a little more sceptical on the last. I don’t think doing it at international level makes that much of a difference these days. The days when Bobby Charlton played every game for his country and only managed a handful of caps in retrospect to the Rooney’s and Beckham’s of this world is a completely different ball game. George Best was and probably still is the best winger (Inside Forward) of his time (maybe all time) but Northern Ireland did not make his career any greater, The same in this day and age can be said of Ryan Giggs, We all know how good he is but turning out for Wales made no difference to him. You could flip your point though Andy and also say that Zidane, Pele and Maradona e.t.c were only recognized because of their respective countries successes in their time.
It is a very difficult subject but for me, If a player has talent, Whether he be Brazilian, Zimbabwean or Maltese then it should be recognized on club football over International. A player could play 10 times for his country in a regular season but re-wind 20 years or so and they were lucky to get 5.
As i say though, Talent is talent. We all know how good Cantona was but how many of us actually knew about the man who deprived him of his place in the French squad until later in his career because no bugger had heard of him in this country until his mid 20’s. Step forward Zinedine Zidane.
There are far too many players for me to pick just one. It would be easier if the question was to pick your favourite ever 11 because i think choosing one is too much of an ask. And if picking the 11 only choosing players you have seen, Not jumping on the Pele, Zoff e.t.c bandwagon if tha knows what i mean.
In a Wigan Shirt?Has to be Sir Sir Andrew Lidell
Think there are too many good players from too many generations to pick one out. Different teams, leagues and circumstances depict a good player for a certain level.
Utter legend, Watch Fools and Horses whenever im bored, got the dvd set, never get bored of any episode.
The Green Green Grass is class also

Yeah and last week i said they were great which they were for that one game. Im not biased towards slating them, Why would i be against my own team. I just call it how i see it.
Martinez blames the Sunderland third goal for defeat saying we are not getting the big decisions. After we scored we did the old sitting back routine and got punished, They would have scored again anyway. He also states that every game we go into we are competitive. I think not, a few games towards the end of a very poor and un-productive season does not constitute competitive in every game.
How the hell can you watch Latics and say things like that with a straight face. It is just totally barmy, I wish i could find positives in things Martinez can see but i just can’t, I do not honestly know where he looks. Even reading his comments, Because im so angry i read them out and in my mind i can hear his stupid Spanish accent saying the words then it p1sses me off even more.
4 -1 to Sunderland :crying-yellow: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:The darkside will have a whale of a time on here later.
Maybe even Mutty will make a comeback. :scared-eek:It should be too, things need discussing. It is ridiculous though. 0-0 half time then 4 goals, 2 without any strikers on. Haha as i type Di Santo scores. That is no consolation. 1 good win followed by nothing, Same old same old. Time to go down now, Pathetic attempt that today, The changes were made too late again and they were the wrong ones.
Go on bite my head off. I say it how i see it and am still bemused as to why people stick up for the idiots and their leader. All clueless, No heart, No guts, No balls.
Undoubtedly the best performance of the season, just when they needed to be stood up and be counted. Superb display.
Falls of chair :auto-ambulance:
what else could i say, it was, not one fault yesterday. I call a spade a spade. If something is crap i will say its crap. If something is good i will say its good.
Just shocked that’s all most of the darkside have made positive comments apart from one who has been lurking but is to stubborn to say anything :D
like i say a spade is a spade but if would like me to be picky it is “positive” and “too” :D only joking :D :?
:D :DAs i have said to Griff, I apologise for the other day, but i do not like it when no-one see’s my point of view and just goes for my neck instantly. Yes i have not been since last season but there are other reasons other than just going. Money is no problem but then there is work e.t.c and i try to watch games wherever i am(as work dictates) surely that makes me just a fan as anyone, There or not (not my choice) i still make the effort to do what i can to watch my team. It is a fairly new well paid job and can’t afford to take time off, However i will be at every game next season home or away whatever division you mark my words
But they are a manufactured team and i don’t like that
And this team(+rooney) came for free did it.?Man United
1 Van der Sar
22 O’Shea
5 Ferdinand
15 Vidic
3 Evra
13 Park
18 Scholes
16 Carrick
25 Valencia
9 Berbatov
17 NaniArky, Every big team has to make big signings every so often. The last one United made was probably Berbatov. However they do not spend 150m+ every season looking for instant glory. Ferguson is the best manager ever to grace our land. Clough, Shankly and Paisley are close but he knows when to spend good money, (barring a few woeful ones). I really do believe that if United win the league this season Fergie will retire, Just to stuff Liverpool’s record and stick it to their fans and Mourinho will take over. Champions League would be a bonus
YosserI find myself agreeing with you a lot recently, save for the rather childish dig at me, SW and 33 the other day.
Cut it out.
I know and agree that the last thread was very childish of me, backed into a corner you try to fight your way out no matter what the discussion or argument,
Apologies now the dust has settled somewhat, But still however i cant make a game until WHU and i really want to be there. When i go i sit in the east far over near the south, Maybe i should get you a pint if you are in there :shhh: :shhh: :D :D
Im not the chump you think i am. You may even know me considering i live about 500yrds from the brick
