What amazes me is that all these people who call Bob useless are they only ones who really believes that he really believes what he says on Sky Sports.
And people wonder why they call Wiganers thick
From an anonymous source – following a game at the Soccerdome:
‘They’re cheating, diving bad language these packies’
‘They’re actually from Turkey’
‘They’re cheating bad language these diving Turkish packies’Cambridge, Oxford, Durham, Wigan.
Apologies, but I can’t remember posting this…..The gist is, there are a lot of thick folk in Wigan, and the worst thing is, they don’t actually realise it – even when corrected.
Not all people are thick Standish_Walker, Just that people have different views to you, I agree with a lot of what you say but sometimes i don’t

See, Sh1te
I was drinking, But not in the pub but at my mates. Good stream too. Not paying to watch that sh1te until things change, Give me Championship football any day. Best league in the world. :D
WHAAAAT!!!!!!
You have to be joking, I mean you just have to be, He ALWAYS gives the ball away and ALWAYS gives far too many needless fouls away.
Figeuroa, Thomas, and a few others are nowhere near good enough and there are a few other suspect ones.
Remember everyone coming on here bumming Di Santo after 20 mins sub appearance and bollocking me because i said he didnt look all that good and ran around like a headless chicken in reply to you lot saying he was world class e.t.c, All he did was run after the ball a few times. My god i must be Messi if you consider that quality.
Possesional passing play is not mutually exclusive from direct football.I was watching the DVDs of our first couuple of Prem seasons the other week and we might have been playing direct balls to the box, but once we had it there we passed it around beautifully, but didn’t over pass, before knocking in a dangerous cross that at least 2 players were in position to pounce on.
Last night’s overpassing, pussiness to stick a ball in the box and then passing back/giving the ball away in the box had me tearing my hair and my eyes out.
How can Bob after nearly 18 months not see that it just isn’t working?
Yeah thats what i mean, when we had Palacios he worked hard in midfield to get it out to the wing where he had Valencia who attacked palyers and put in crosses, playing to his and or strength, It was the same with Kavanagh and Teale, Then we had Bullard doing the Palacios roleand knocking it forward to two strikers, Ellington, Roberts etc, players who could make space for the other striker and create more, even bringing in the attacking midfielders. We had Lee McCulloch on the left, they liked to play it up in the air to him because he won it all the time and got it down further up the pitch and he had a good left back (Baines) supporting him, who also tracked back on the counter. Heskey played in his own area with the ball going directly to his head, Boring yes but high up the pitch and bringingothers into play. Our strongest threat is easy, N’Zogbia and Moses, Wont play them together though and instead plays 3 defensive midfielders deep and one lone striker high, I like Diame but i feel is wasted, Thomas is arguably one of the worst midfielders to play in our strip, Denny Landzaat would have been perfect for Martinez now but in the time of Heskey was wasted as a passing midfielder as it went over his head.
Play to our strengths, Martinez must realise we aint and he has to try something different.
a team in the whole football league who gives the ball away as cheaply as us – 30 passes then one straight to arsenal.
Have you actually sat there and counted the number of completed passes until one goes astray? Christ, no wonder you enjoy fishing so much.
i agree with loudmouth on this one standish. God that was so frustrating to watch. i was willing something to happen. Boselli had the ball into feet a few times deep down the pitch but he was hounded out and made to play it back into midfield as no bugger was supporting him. Moses showed us all what we already know, However Martinez won’t play him. If he is good enough he is old and mature enough. Look what happened when he played McCarthy, He never got a game then had a lucky run, Now cant leave him out. 5 times in the first 20mins we passed the ball into touch and 4 times Figeuroa got slaughtered in and out of position.
You just know we are going to be beat on saturday, either that or 0-0 like the dross they served up last season. I dont get how thousands can see it but one silent man in his jacket cant. Or a stubborn old one in the stands. Whelan cant be happy with how we play surely. We will never ever get to a good standard in this league playing the way we do. We cant afford the players Arsenal can and thats why crap players cant play the same way. We have to play to our strengths, Boselli is a poacher so let him poach. Up in the air if needs be, We cant play football so use another fecking tactic.
I had a bird at 12 and enjoyed the occasional bottle of cider. You wouldn’t have caught me holding some blokes hand dressed in a replica Wigan strip ! ;)haha i had moved on to the mayfair and pulse then i think
so moses goal against west brom was not an example of quick counter attacking?
Wow! 1 goal all season, stop it, you’re killing me
is there anything you wont pick at, Rooney 2 goals all season, 2 pens, how crap is he.
I hope we stuff West Ham today just to stop the coooonts coming on
Maybe one way to get some of the excitement back could be that, everyone on here and your mates e.t.c arranges at the start of every season a couple of non high profile games are selected away from home where every bugger goes, has a good alcohol fuelled day of it and surprise the premier league wigan haters, Games like Fulham and Sunderland, Pack the away ends out. Just a thought like, Problem is getting it promoted and people interested.
It’s entirely up to the manager, I went to Stoke for an F.A Cup game in our promotion season from Div 2, We got beat, 3-0 i think, i remember Greenacre and Iwelumo scoring anyway, My point is, sure it was disappointing to see the team Jewell had selected when we arrived but hell, we were top of our league, After christmas and in the end we went up as champions and didnt care about that result. As Blackpool won’t if they stay up
Fans wont care if they believe its for the good of the club. Real fans would’t anyway.Like i say though, yeah its probably worth a moan at the time but hardly a massive issue. Just tell that to the F.A
he can pick who he wants from it argument” falls down
It just doesn’t though. He CAN pick who he likes because they are his squad, I’ve just never heard so much nonsense, This league has gone, Unless you are a top 5 or 6 club you don’t count. Is fecking rubbish. Arsene Wenger’s reserves and youths tonked us a couple of years ago. He picked them because he thought they were good enough and they bloody were. The sooner a salary cap is introduced by FIFA the better, Sky will crap themselves and then hopefully the most biased commentary and analysis team in history will go elsewhere, might i suggest ESPN, a la Redknapp, Gray e.t.c
Agree with tickmon but i dont care to be honest. We got 3 points and winning ugly is as good as winning nicely, 3 points, out of the bottom 3 and a vast improvement in performances. This side went to old trafford and got a draw, they went to arsenal and got a win. It was a huge test for us today that, Passed with flying colours for me. Was more peed off with Di Santo missing his chance to be honest. He doesnt have a good record in front of goal and that would have done wonders. Why cant Boselli get a chance, they are the kind of goals he scores, Get it into the box and finish them off. what a waste of 6m, Whelan will never give him that for a player again if he wastes it.
You are right bob, thats where whelan is good. he doesnt and wont have anything like that here. a la marlon king, fired him straight off, however being an 80s early 90s child i have no idea who stookey is
Our first Premiership season we fielded a very weakened team against Newcastle in the league cup. We all thought that was ok as it was our first season in the big league and the important thing that season was staying up no matter how we did it. We tonked Newcastle that night and nobody said a word and we had a great season. Wolves stayed up last year and if Blackpool do the same then fair do’s. What difference does it make to any opposition who comes up against a stronger or weaker side. They are paid to beat what is put in front of them. If they lose thats the weakened teams problem. The F.A should stay out of it, Otherwise fine Man Utd for fielding a weakened squad if they draw AFC Wimbledon in the F.A Cup 3rd round.
Correct Vat, i had to read it a few times last season before i understood what exactly Wolves were getting fined for. What rule are they breaking exactly. Its fucking stupid. If that is the case, A team should only consist of 11 players and if one is injured or suspended or drained etc then the clubs will have to rely on emergency loans. Thats my crazy justification of it anyway. i would love to hear the F.A’s reasoning. If they arent allowed to play their players then why are they allowed to sign them.
