I’d expect one or two of them will be posting an apology to Karen.

Once they’ve stopped the mass tantrum.

For a set of fans that couldn’t care less about Latics. That thread is one hell of a bitter and twisted humdinger.

Whoever it was has probably un done the fine work of Latics United this week. All we wanted was equality and fairness. Well said Jay.

Well he didn’t go to Springfield park to support the opposition. He’s one of many who have jumped the good ship Wigan Athletic at some point and now feels bad since promotion and survival in the Premier League.

Well famous, i reckon you’d like to see us go down to ease your concious about abandoning your ‘home town club’. Get your ass down for the upcoming bolton game, i reckon you’d love it. ;)

This really is pathetic from some Wigan Athletic fans. I cant believe they are talking about discrimination ffs. If Wigan Athletic won the Premier League then I would have absolutely no problem with signs going up in their honour. Indeed it is the least that I would expect.

They are not exactly helping themselves with this sort of attitude and they certainly arent going to win over any Rugby fans with it.

I have never really cared about Wigan Athletic one way or another and used to watch them occasionally at Springfield Park when they were in the lower leagues because they were my home town club (despite being a Man Utd fan).

However since being in the Premier League many things have happened where I have grown to dislike them more and more and this latest event just makes me think think eff you and I now want them to go down.

I think this lad is a bit confused. That’s like saying ‘i used to be a homo sexual until it became fashionable, now i’m back to liking ladies again’.

Make your mind up son.

in reply to: saturdays attendance #47614

Quote from Vat69….”Honestly, do you really think the rugby being played about 4 hours after the rugby will be a factor in our attendance? ”

    I would say absolutely yes.

Still, it’ll do for me. I like to stretch out and relax these days.

I didn’t say you weren’t a real fan. I questioned how you would know what is going to happen.

Jason Roberts, at Arsenal closely followed by Mark Wignalls screamer v Chelsea early 80’s in the league cup wins it for me though.

But why pay more money to watch our players pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes and lose?

Its called being a fan, how do you know what will happen?

in reply to: Well said that man! #47327

warringtonlatic…. Well done to you and your lad. More supporters of the club like you the club needs. :)

LMB.. I’m certain Jimmy wasn’t having a go at the likes of you (although he’s a big boy and can defend himself). Its a pop at the stay away fans. That articles got 2,500 pages views so its a good thing supporters are reading it and discussing it. Saying that no one should have to justify whether they go or not but the fact is our attendances are shocking given all the reasons for them.

Iv’e been a supporter since 1978 too. DW’s ‘my way or the highway’ attitude has really foookin got on my nipples. Its my football club as much as his and thats why i continue to go. I’m with you on Martinez, his tactics and managerial skills are shockingly poor considering the resources he has at his disposal. Sure they’re not quite on a par with Manchester city but they’re miles ahead of Blackpool who beat us 4-0 (and could of been 8). The worst Wigan Athletic performance i’ve ever witnessed.

I wont defend the club or the town any more but i’ll continue to attend. Staying away solves nothing it just makes the situation worse.
