Vat….mine, and those around me, are open most of the time we see some of the tosh unfolding before our very eyes. ;)

You do realise that quote was from a Tottenham fan talking about their inability to break us down?

Maybe I have missed something, but I don’t think so

….and I was using that quote as an example of our situation……even I am humble enough to apologise for not finishing the sentence….by example..

“There have been too many games, for me, where this statement could have applied to us as well.

….big enough to say sorry for misleading…. arrogant enough to say…

                    …….I stand by my sentiment.

I remain, humble to the board, yours….

                      Yosser……..you know me.

Wait and it shall be delivered. Whatever you write after this will be taken as ….

….. ah well! You know the rest.

Maybe so but at the end of the day due to the income and expenditure side of the club it is hard to imagine the type of manager that coukd be brought in to rectify the situation and work on the budget of the club .

Show the team a dvd of the Arsenal and Leeds game for starters it may put em to shame but they may learn summat, after all i would say we have better players than Leeds, our problem is manager and backroom staff,if we do go down were in for a shock on the fan base,it could go below ten thousand figures, now sure our club have had a good look at this if we do go down i hope we dont but it does’nt look good.watch us win tommorrow.
That’s a great example, cracking game……however, if we are showing dvd’s of recent games I would recommend the recent game…….. Blackpool v Liverpool. Watched it at Bloomfield (Pal lives in the area) and to watch that ‘second ball’ challenge, never say die attitude, fitness (driven by adrenaline), and play to the final whistle attitude – your ‘pantomine’ picture is next years romance.

Anyone who thinks that going to Bloomfield Road to exert a little bit of retribution for our first day shocker is hopefully booked into an ‘all inclusive’ B&B in the quieter North Shore. They are a testing team and we could learn a few lessons on ….loudness, passion and commitment – FFS their Master of Ceremonies (our rugby supporting record player) gets them going before they get out of the tunnel.

‘Younger’ people forget that we, the supporters, play an important part in the teams development.

We can make or break our players esteem…….booing, calling names, asking for sackings, being more ‘tactically’ better than these finely tuned atheletes, being part time referee’s, FIFA magnates, financial wizards and corporate businessmen (bean counters for want of a better name) and all you critics……..put your f$£ckin boots on a do a better job.

……………….only those with a strategic corporate policy making remit within their personal job specification need reply.

                        ;)

Allardyce would save us. Not my favourite manager but his record speaks for itself. May cost more than Martinez but stand to stay in the prem in my opinion.

We would have to say bye to the glorious passing game that we have taken the premiership by storm with though. :)

……and you were doing so well up until then.

                          Ah well!

Wigan played five across the middle and doubled up on Lennon and Bale. We never had the wit, pace or played with the tempo needed to create the space required to make an opening.

Sometimes, my friend, the devil is in the detail.

There have been too many games, for me, where this statement could have applied.

I only hope, this time, that the light at the end of the tunnel is not the Ten Twenty Freight train from Blackpool….. :?

I remain the eternal optimist……..glass is always half full – (I drink with some ‘ducking and diving’ tightarse gets ;) )

….and as that optitmist I will continue to upset the West Stand ‘tutters and huffers’….I may even join in with the older crew that sing the old ‘Springy chants’ ………. ;)

Play a weakened team against Arsenal tomorrow to keep the important players fresh and injury free for Tues? As Martinez has said a few times this season our bad performances have been down to playing 2 games in a week.

No. They had a rest for the Cup game against Hull.
It made no difference the majority were still poor against Fulham.
I’d agree….

…….in my opinion, some of them need the practice.

We are still waiting to learn what name Dave performs under. Difficult to go and watch him otherwise. And I’ve asked this question before with no response.
You’re not telling us porkies are you Dave?

Dick, he performs under his name…
Then he won’t mind telling us at which venue he is performing at in Thornton Cleveleys…….. my pal is still trying to find out (hardly a great self publicist.. eh?)

                                Sammy…… I didn’t know your real name was Richard ……… ;)

Wigan Athletic are in such a mess nowadays, i’d hate to find out where we’ll be in another 10 years

                                  Certainly not the Premier League.

Yes, we’re in a proper mess. Oh, how we yearn for the halcyon days of the early 1990s
………….what Griff said.

Plus……… you really cannot be serious. If you can be bothered following ‘grown-up’ reporting and for the benefit of the ‘hard of understanding’ (it has also been commented upon several times on this board) – we are one of the best ‘managed’ (financially) clubs in the country – it’s been debated to death so I’m not going to it again.

“Mess”?….. some people need to take themselves outside and give their heads a shake.
