You only want Allardyce so you can carry on moaning. Please don’t ask for that duffer
I’m a bit confused. If all the whinging nannies are now refusing to watch Latics how come I can still hear them at games?
If we get really bad will you all stop coming . . . please?
I thought the Scott Green incident was against Stoke at the JJB.
I remember Neil Davids being pretty hard.
Kevin Smart was mental
If only we had the same patience
Yep, I can only come up with Good King Whine-ceslas. Which isn’t very good
They could set up their own Edinburgh Whinge Festival on a day out in Scotland
You are indeed Clueless Clowns because you don’t agree with my opinion which is correct. It’s just a shame they don’t allow stronger language on this board.
Unfortunately there are too many Clueless Clowns on this board, who would rather whine as soon as something goes wrong.
I remember when Springfield Park had a bit of atmosphere as people got behind the Latics, rather than half the crowd (mainly JCLs) crying like little girls who didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas (seasonal topical reference)
I can’t wait for the day when a lot of you on here eat your words.
God it’s hard enough going through this difficult spell without the whining and crying. It’s not all rosy at the moment but it will be a damn sight easier if we get behind our team and support them instead of this constant barrage of nonsense.
Any change will take time and mean looking at how different players cope with that change. At the start of the season we were shipping goals, now we look more solid. The goalie is outstanding, our defence is beginning to look tighter and midfield is providing a real challenge for places.
The problem is up front, but nobody scores with every chance they get, so instead of screeching in horror every time we miss why not support the lads to help build their confidence.
That is the idea of football, supporters get behind their team when they are struggling. Don’t just look for ridiculous solutions like sacking a manager who many football pundits agree has fantastic potential. Bobby wants to stay at our club and fulfil that potential here. That is brilliant news.
Next year will be our year and I can look back on last year in the knowledge that I supported Wigan Athletic and I don’t look like a complete dick.
Oh… Merry Christmas
I’m really sad that people are agreeing with this thread.
Of course Bob is testing our patience at the moment but I believe we will come out of this an more exciting and successful team – within limits. If it means relegation that’s the way it goes.
To get Fatty in would take us back to a style lower than Bruce and that it would be like a slow, painful death even if we stayed up. Imagine the stick we would get off Bolton?
If you seriously want Allardyce you know nothing about football.
Blinkers off and up the revolution!
Family moved to Salford when I was six. I was under a lot of pressure to support United and I went with my mates to a couple of games but it never really got me.
I discovered Latics through my uncle who was a ref and the first game I went to was Enfield in about 1973-4. The game that swung it was beating Sheff Weds in the cup at Springfield in 1977 – proper atmosphere, aggression and a Maurice Whittle goal. I’d never felt anything like it.
The next season we were in the league and for the next 15 years I hardly missed a game… then I went to work abroad. Came back for me dad’s funeral for a week and got a game in – Exeter at home!!
My town, my team and what a wonderful time we’ve all had. And long may it continue….
Yes, it’s still Latics even if they go down. My team and Bobby is still one of us. I still believe in what he is doing even if we do go down.
I really don’t get the folk who want us to go back to hoofing the ball around just to stay in a league where we are out of our depth playing that way. At least with Bob we have the chance to see some exciting and classy football even though this is a tough changeover period.
I support Latics. I go along because I am a Wiganer, I have watched them for 40 years, I love the team and enjoy the whole experience. And I always will
And how they are going to fiddle the draw so Qatar get to the semis
Maybe they can dig us out of the relegation zone this year??
It was dangerous last year with the skating rink by the side of JJB sports
