Next season is the big test for Bobby if the likes of Lukaku and Barkley move on.

I thought this season was the big test for Bobby! He seems to have done alright.

He’s achieved a record number of Premier League points and finished one place higher in the league.

Half his first team are off to the World Cup and his young players are the envy of the Premier League.

TV fees and the reward for finishing fifth will come to £90 million, so he has some money to spend. [And the bottom team this season will earn more than Manchester United did as champions last season!]

    That’s a well-reasoned choice.

I just wonder if Uwe will start with a more defensive player – McEachran perhaps – alongside McArthur. In that case, he would have to omit McManaman or Maloney.

But that would reduce our limited goal power still further. And away goals don’t count.

Bobby is taking Everton into Europe, and will want Arsenal to win the Cup Final. Everton will then go straight into the group stages of the Europa League, starting on September 18.

If Hull win, they will take the place in the group stage, leaving Everton to enter the play-off round on August 21 and 28.

I wonder which distant point of Eastern Europe they will visit.

Roberto now finds that bigger teams are casting envious eyes on his better players. He will have to fill any gaps that appear, as well as replace his loan players.

It all sounds very familiar. Perhaps there is yet another star waiting to be revealed in Honduras or Hamilton.

And that reminds me, good luck to Figueroa who gets his chance to play in a Cup Final.

The west and east stands look two thirds full.

The south stand does look empty, perhaps the usual spectators have transferred to the sides.

I’d say 10,000 home tickets have been sold so far. This might grow to a total attendance of 15,000 on the night.

I held my hand up about that one ages ago! Is your computer data base playing up ?

It was just one example of the messages posted here by the Bobsessives to wind people up.

You didn’t really think Roberto and Everton would finish in the bottom half, did you?

    £20 for a seat, a pint, a pie…and a cushion would be nice.

Would a massage at half time be too much to ask?

It’s been a long season. Have fans had enough, or are they saving up for yet another trip to Wembley?

Fair enough, Phil, but what if we had beaten Arsenal?

The guy is on the windup and if for some bizarre reason he isn’t then he is one sad fucker that’s all I can say! Gotta be the former though surely!

We’re all at it, aren’t we?

Well I am positive that Everton will not be in the top 8 this season ! If they lose Baines and Fellaini they wont even finish in the top half !

They lost Fellaini but kept Baines.

    Result; Bobby 1 – Bobsessives 0

I am willing to bet anyone on whether Everton will finish in the top 6 this season let alone top 4.

Why has the EPL finished my friend? I’ve got fek all wrong yet!

There’s a long way to go and I will still put my money on Everton not making the top 6.

Well, we’re nearly at the end of the season. What do you say now?

Anyway,I might be a few points out

Let’s see exactly how many points you are out next Sunday!

    It isn’t hard to find misguided – and prejudiced – predictions. This thread is like a string of pearls – they appear on every page! Here’s yet one more;

Everton & Bobby will win sweet Fanny Adams and qualify for nowt !

Roberto has given you all a good run for your money and, quite simply, far exceeded your expectations. Has he failed? I suppose that depends on your definition of failure.

Last season, he took a small town club to Wembley and won.

This season he has taken Everton – financially a mid-table club like Aston Villa and Sunderland – to fifth place, and challenged Arsenal for a place in the Champions League. That’s something the Bobsessives regarded as unthinkable.

I’m sure Aston Villa and Sunderland would settle for that degree of failure.

Meanwhile, we’ve finished fifth in the Championship. With any luck, we’ll be able to measure our success when we come up against him again next season. Your thoughts are, of course, welcome.

Rosler will bring back the likes of Jordi Gomez and Callum McManaman refreshed to face the Hoops.

He said: “It was massively important that some players had a rest.

“I like to play at a high tempo. But we are all human, it’s not possible to do that every three days.”

At Ajax or Barcelona? I assume Wenger will stay at Arsenal after all.

If united get a decent manager and spurs get Ronald de Boer, I think the iPad king may struggle to reach a Europa league spot next season.

I wasn’t far out with my prediction of Hull dropping like a lead balloon. They only avoided the drop mathematically after the penultimate week of the season. B) the elephant man got the squeaky bum experience that I hoped he would. :P

There is every chance that your predictions for next season will be more successful than those for this season.

Hull City haven’t won a league match since winning their place in the Cup Final. That may be because they are a shocking team, or perhaps because they have been distracted by their cup success. It happens. Nevertheless, you must have been the only person in the country who thought that they were in danger of going down. I’m sure that Bruce hasn’t lost any sleep over it.

For their part, Arsenal reached their nadir in the semifinal – when Wigan should have won. They have recovered strongly since then with four wins out of four. Hull will certainly have to pick themselves up to make a game of it in the Cup Final. They have one last chance to show what they can do – and it’s against Everton.

I don’t think they will finish in the bottom four, but at the end of the season I reckon their points tally could be nearer the club fourth from bottom than the Champions. Time will tell.

It looks like a positive result for Roberto.

With one game to go, Everton are 11 points behind Manchester City and Liverpool.

They are 34 points ahead of Sunderland, currently fourth from the bottom.
