    Thanks for increasing the score.

Roberto has kept Everton out of the bottom four.

Everton are still competing with far wealthier clubs.

Gobshite is something similar to a seven letter word, but not quite the same!

    It should be knob!

There’s a hardware shop suggestively called Knobs and Knockers.

“I am aware of Brentford’s interest in Kiernan,” said Rosler on 16 January.

“But the deal is on hold at the moment because we’ve got three centre-backs out, so it’s very difficult to let one of our defenders leave.

“Hopefully, it can be sorted next week when our injury situation improves.”

It was certainly came as a shock to the Latics. They were in a run of eight games without defeat. In contrast, Doncaster had gone nine games without a win.

Rosler admitted Doncaster, who had only scored twice in their previous nine game, deserved their victory. “We weren’t at our best and I think the run of games we’ve had recently caught up with us,” he said.

    That’s not entirely convincing as an explanation. It can hardly apply to;
    Al-Habsi
    Browning
    Beausejour
    Fortuné – 65′
    Boyce
    Maynard
    Espinoza – 80′
    Gómez

Barnett, however, certainly does deserve a rest.

That was quick. Shotton and Shottoff.

In 46 attempts under David Moyes, Everton did not win a single league match at Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool.

Roberto succeeded in his very first attempt. Anfield derby coming up next.

Some performances are bad, leading to bad results.

Some games are critical. A loss can have dire consequences, even if the performance may have been quite good.

You are right about the site being quiet.

But I can live without the usual comments of ‘Gomez was crap today’.

There’s been little or no discussion of Rosler’s formations and his tactics. He’s been attempting to play without recognised forwards – out of necessity – though I imagine that he would play a natural goal scorer if we had one.

We had not one but two starting debutants!

    Maynard and Browning.
