Good luck
I think it was right for the club and right for Roberto to stay here.
Look how we have progressed as a club since he came…the youth team are coming along in leaps and bounds, the reserves are getting stronger all the time, there are plans for new training facilities….you have to build from the ground up, and I’m sure when we can finally get the proper first team fit and playing well we will start to push on.
As for did Roberto make the right decision for himself..no doubt about it. Fans like Villas wouldn’t give him a chance if they strung a couple of loses together…at least here the vast majority of fans realise that Roberto is still learning and his time as a player means something to us.
When you look at Notlobs starting fixtures compared with ours you realise what a tough start to the season they have had.
We need to get our best starting eleven fully fit and firing on all cylinders asap or we will soon be off the pace and in for a rough ride.
Sky reckon its us or Doncaster – What does that tell you?
It tells me that this is a very ill conceived move.
I won’t go into all the moral reasons which in my opinion are why we shouldn’t even entertain this individual at our club, as they have all been said before.
But from a playing point of view what has he got to offer? He doesn’t exactly fit into our so called football ethos does he?
Please give this one a miss Roberto.
wash your mouth out….
diouf
Barton
Ronaldo
Fabregas
DrogbaIf any of these players ever disgraced the DW I would seriously have to consider whether or not I bought my season ticket…disgusting footballers all of them for varying reasons.
Whilst on, because I don’t bother much these days…..keep up the good work Bobby…I can see a proper squad being assembled and we WILL be okay this year.
How very not surprising! The cockney seems to have forgotten to mention that Latics are taking part in the game…..
Come on Latics let’s send the ultimate cheats down!!
Our lads are going to be playing against 12 men on Sunday, one being the ref, lets try and even it up and be their 12th man.
We’re too good to go down us!
Probably had all his interest knocked out of him by comments such as yours….
Wigan Athletic must have the most unreasonable ungrateful fans in the world.
He spends millions on the club to take us to the top division for 6 seasons against all the odds, and still he is “an old get”.
A few people need to realise getting relegated was always going to happen sooner or later, this season seems to be our turn. But its not through lack of effort by any one individual. The standard (read that as wealth) of the other 19 teams in the league has steadily grown and overtaken us.
If we do go down, at least next year we have a chance of playing on a more level playing field, and there won’t be as many Primma Donna super rich players able to influence referees decisions as much.
Oh and the other good thing is there probably wont be any Truelatics4evas around on here either.
Some things are more important than staying in the Prem…He is just a wrong un!
Never a truer word spoken….
But if we sign Diouf my season ticket will be getting flung. :x
When Roberto first came to us as manager I was asked how I thought he would do….I said I thought he would struggle in his first season and we may go down, but I thought the fans would stick with him due to his past links with the club, and he would be the best person to help us bounce back up.
Well we didn’t go down, so I was wrong there…..but I still think we should stick with him if we go down this season.
He has made so many mistakes, he has signed many poor players, he has not shown any ability to learn how to vary our play and makes alot of poor substitution choices. But he is still a young manager learning his trade and I believe he deserves more time.
AS for the 6,000 crowds comment Vat….not sure about that…maybe the lack of Premier league over accessibility would encourage people out of the pubs and back down to the ground.
Lets get down there tonight and get behind ’em.
Up the Tics!
I seem to recall we were short of a shouter and a pointer when Mario was on his way out….Mario didn’t do much shouting and pointing but he could still play a bit….Caldwell just shouts and points :?
I hope it’s three….it would give us a better chance of staying up!
If that ends up being correct Filmoss then our goose is definatley cooked!
I wouldn’t bet against it mind.
Yep that was a bit puddled….second worstest then
