Certainly came out of the blue….sure its not about money, he can pick wherever he wants to go and will get paid what he demands, but I bet there’s a get-out clause, if they dont win the title or the CL either this or next season
All those posts on there, hardly any relating to the cost/waste of the sign, or the fact that it should acknowledge both clubs….no, virtually every post is used to have a go at us, but they don’t care about us.
One of the best on there (among many laughable gems) is one about a sign going up over the tunnel when Latics run out, what they can’t grasp is a) the sign will likely be removed for our games; and b) if its not, the WRLFC sign will only be noticed worldwide through tv footage of a football match…fooking idiots
They are priceless aren’t they our egg-chasing friends…..funny how when they slag us off, they bring up attendances, yet correct me if I’m wrong, both teams in this town get poor support, you’d think to read their comments they have 50,000 locked out every week.
As for the most important thing….the sign, that’s just typical of our council, they are asking depts to make huge cuts in spending, yet they spend money on acknowledging their win (which is fair enough), yet manage to alienate the blue half of the town in the process and have embarassingly backtracked within hours…..to think we used to have the Wigan Council badge on our shirts :o
As for LMB’s comments, tremendous!!! If they can get on there, someone should post that on their MB’s.
Works out well for ourselves and the Horwich lot, an extra day to play the 4 Christmas/New Year games
Yeah I saw that from Hugo, hate that….think if you wave an imaginary card then a yellow one should be shown in your direction, regardless of what the ref is going to do
As for the worst tackle….Goixcochea on Maradona years ago and in 90’s Vinny Jones on Gary Stevens (I think….the Spurs one) are just 2 that spring to mind
I thought it was a season-long loan, but there was interview with Bobby on Radio Manchester (before City game I think) and he was talking about Cleverley and kept saying “until January”.
Although he hasn’t said it, in fairness to Karl Henry, I’m sure (well at least would hope) that he apologised after the game to Jordi…can’t see that he wouldnt
Not seen the pictures, but this parade thingy, surely it would have attracted a bigger crowd if they’d had it at the DW and broadcast it live on Sky……the pubs would have been ramed then, loads watching em!!!
Him and Mandaric deserve each other….a manager who’ll walk out the minute something better comes along and a chairman who sackes managers for fun.
Apparently they’ve had something like 15 managers (inc Erikkson) in 6 years, absolute madness
Hoped they’d get stuffed but both teams won….better than both losing seeing as it means we got 3 points, most important Wigan thing today
I’ll have a guess:
Chelsea x 2
Man Utd x 3
Liverpool x 2
Bolton 1
Geordies 2
City 1
Everton x 2
Blackburn 1
Arsenal x 3
Spurs x 2
Villa x 2Might be 3/4 others on top so I’ll go for 24
Man City have re-named reserve football, well their team anyway, its known as the Elite Squad :D
Terrible news that, must be a huge shock to fans of the clubs he played for and everyone else that knew him.
RIP Terry
Apparently that’s true….heard the very same thing not too long ago.
LMB, wasn’t it Ridgewell that tried to cripple McCarthy, not Johnson on Moses and it was Fahey that did the Olympic standard dive. You’re right though, the cheating Brummies were’nt crying after that game.
