I thought at one time there was a rule which did state that nothing other than a football match could be played on PL pitch 24 hours before a match, sure there was a match we had against Man Utd and Ferguson invoked the rule which meant the Warriors had to move a game.

Personally think it’s a disgrace that Wembley is used for NFL and even worse that it’s been used for club friendlies and league matches…although I don’t blame Spurs for taking up Wembley, just should never have been offered to them. Particularly when the FA now make the FA Vase and FA Trophy finals take place on the same day, instead of having them on separate days, wrong when you think that to the fans of those clubs, that’s such a special occasion.

Not sure how anyone knows the club messed it up, may have been a late call on Deadline Day which made club aware Evans was available and perhaps there just wasn’t enough time to get the deal done as a permanent one. Not sure what the thing is about Leonard being able to play against Sheff U as I thought it was a blanket ban on loanees appearing against parent club (certainly in league matches).

I think the club can feel hard done by here if there is a blanket ban but Sheff U have given permission for Leonard but not Evans. Seems to me that if a club makes an exception for one player then the FL should not allow them to block another, if one loanee plays against them, then all should be allowed to if selected

Couldn’t believe the news when I read it a few hours before Friday’s game….terribly sad. Owen was a thoroughly decent bloke, a real gent. RIP Owen

VAT, had a similar rant myself on Facebook, Not prevented in any way by stewards with the organisational ability of a chimp and movement of a fridge, but today we’ve seen inconsiderate pricks standing at front (not blocking my view as a disabled fan), but must have been blocking views of those in first few rows, who remained in their seats.

Same at the end, (quite rightly booed by our decent fans), but loads going on pitch, blocking views of loads of fans (including disabled fans) of the celebrations following the presentation….including 2 shameful dickheads (one in a Red “Flores” shirt, who had a go at me cos I told him to “get off the f…ing pitch” and another (not sure what he was wearing, but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) who when asked (in non-abusive manner) to move as someone (not me) couldn’t see as they were in a wheelchair replied “so what?”…One of Our Own, well they may be, but along with a few others today showed themselves to be nothing more than GRADE A (insert sweary word).

Felt sorry for the proper fans today who know how to celebrate success.

Remember being on coach to Brighton for that game and never been to a game that we should win, with so many people who were absolutely convinced we would lose, it was their last ever game at the Goldstone, we’d just won promotion, think every single one of us just knew we’d get beat

£22 a bit steep and poor pricing policy” surely not, probably 3rd cheapest ST’s (behind Charlton/Blackburn) and £22 would probably be about average for this week, our fans haven’t exactly been treated poorly price wise, although £28 & £30 prices for Div 1 footy are a disgrace and we should never charge those

Night games aren’t ideal for everyone, but not sure a game 30 miles away being a 7.45 pm “kills” it as far as following fans are concerned

Good couple of away games for Shrewsbury as far as points go, they’ve just done it the “wrong” way round, thought they’d get a point at Scunthorpe and win tonight. Their captain being out for 3 games (inc the 2 Easter ones) might be a big blow, but we’ll need to see.

Big chance for us tomorrow to put the pressure on, a win is not vital as its still in our own hands, but real opportunity tomorrow. As for the league, I can see the title race going to the last day, just have a feeling that one of the 3 might drop out of the auto spots with 2/3 games to go. Not sure anyone could cope with a 3 team race on last day.

Fair enough that Jason, glad to see that the club aren’t losing out on a few thousand quid then, did tweet the club and ask the same question about City’s allocation…didn’t get an answer, but was just curious.

Hopefully we’ll have a great crowd in the home ends to match City’s support…actually do believe that Wiganers who don’t normally back the lads, might just get off their collective backsides for this one

Apparently Sheff U have bid £750K for Evans, regardless of whether we could match SUFC for fee, they’d certainly outbid us for wages and are doing well in Championship, he’s bound to go there before coming to us.

As for Colclough, heard it suggested that he’s got a shoulder injury, but not heard anything of any wrongdoing from him. It has crossed my mind that there could be some health issues with his recently born child, which quite rightly, would not be for public consumption.

Apart from the obvious (one/two strikers), I’d like us to add a midfielder who can get forward and pose a goalscoring threat from midfield, although we’re going well, think we all can see that none of midfielders bust a gut to get in the box and support the likes of Grigg/Powell/Jacobs. I know Powell is perhaps more of a midfielder than striker, but I mean someone who can compliment the work Morsy does but also pose more of a goalscoring threat instead of relying on Evans smashing one in from 25 yards.

Rather than the digs at Cook from Horc and Donny, Garswood has got it spot on….we were absolutely dreadful, but to blamne Cook for fielding that team is wrong, He as manager and us fans were totally let down by the starting XI tonight (except Burn/Byrne) none of them looked to have the nous or ability to beat Fylde tonight, only changed when Grigg came on.

The difference between Accrington & tonight’s line up is that the kids were never going to beat an experienced L2 side, whereas that team tonight, should have been far too good for AFC Fylde, but instead they looked like they’d never played a game before. Players need to take responsibility for that performance tonight, they were trusted to do a professional job tonight and completely mislaid that trust, their faults alone not the manager.

Have I not been banging on about fans standing up blocking kids views at away games?
They don’t need to be drunk they still block views if full of ale or not. Even last night the seating area which I chose specifically as I like sitting down at matches, had people standing. I had to tell a group of 5-6 fans stood up in front of me to sit down which was met with the usual glare and ignorance. This really needs sorting otherwise the young uns and owd uns will stop going. Paying extra for seats and standing up you cant make it up!

I always wonder why people choose to stand up at the front of a seating area, for 90 minutes when they have a seat, absolutely no need for it. Was at front of seats on Friday and to the right, 3/4 people constantly standing and on the left near the exit there was a bloke who clearly couldn’t take his ale, spent virtually whole game, standing up, going on about having a beer and mithering the stewards…anything but watching the game.

As for Vat69’s points about the drunks on Friday, fella who came with us was behind goal and commented about people using the sinks instead of toilets…don’t know what gets into the minds of people who do that stuff, loads of people have plenty of drink before game, but aren’t so ignorant to do that stuff and watch the game without upsetting others. Don’t get the mentality of spending money/time to get to a game and get so drunk you annoy your fellow Wiganers and risk getting chucked out the ground

If we lost, people would moan, but I think the main issue would be that if say Power was injured in training and Perkins was ill and then we played and lost, we would then look stupid and be rightly criticised for not calling the game off when we had the right.

Yes I know, the chances of 2 more midfielders being unavailable for Saturday would be unlikely, but its not a ridiculous scenario
