Superb effort by Fulham, 19 games and beaten nearly all the favourites along the way, not to mention having 2 of the worst sending off’s ever go against them against Roma.
Hope they go on to win it now and if Hodgson doesnt get Manager of the Year its a disgrace….only downside of them winning it is the Dingles and that idiot Laws being in Europe next season
Terrible, negative way to end the season….I mean, surely we should be going out spending millions and paying players £75K+ a week and winning the FA cup and then playing top European clubs at home…..after all some our fans will have seen what Pompey have done in the past

Quite right Tini, lets just hope that Bobby learns from his own mistakes with selections etc and can make us stronger next season. I
Maybe when he’s running down the wing the West or East stand could give a chorus of “shall we take your test for you”
Oh dear, we’ve done it again…..the club that is bound to be relegated according to the experts at the beginning of every season, makes it 6 Premier League seasons in a row.
Boy we made hard work of it, but despite throwing away loads of points and generally going from the sublime to the ridiculous, Wigan Athletic are still a top flight club. Time to be proud of our club yet again.
Be fair, its a massive achievement for that lot to finish above the likes of Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth….and they’ve managed to do it without cheating
Incidentally, haven’t they got a similar record to us in the Premier League recently, ie they’ve had 3 seasons where they’ve only just stayed up and yet the club that won the world cup celebrate the end of those seasons like the wc has been won again
I’d have thought people would be willing to pay more for restricted views for WHU games this season.
Anyone who thinks we’re being ripped off by Dave Whelan (and there’s plenty of these idiots), should take a look at them prices and then look at the league table, we’re likely to finish above them rip-off merchants.
Pembertonian….the WRLFC “making up attendances dept” has been up and running for a number of years now…..sadly the mighty Tics have been using them recently as well.
If you don’t believe me about their gates, didn’t they once declare a Super League record of 24,000+ when there were empty seat AOTS?
They declared something like 19K didn’t they? Take 2,000 off that minus 4,000 freebies and you’re left with 13,000……they’d won nearly every game and the stadium is half empty….rugby town my a**e
…..and pity all those Heinz employees with their free tickets, they’d have been better off in the pub
From listening to the commentaries of their last 2 games, I can’t see them getting anything at all. By all accounts, they’ve gone out to play for 2 draws and been absolutely dreadful. Before last weekend I thought they might nick something v Villa and beat Sunderland, but that result the other night might just finish them off, think if Sunderland score first tomorrow, they might win it by 3 or 4.
Unbelieveable what has gone on at Pompey, they’ve recieved something like £100m in transfer fees and yet have debts of £120m……some absolutely crazy financial decisions been made at that club
I’d forgotten about Bellamy, that would almost be better than Tevez, Tevez loved it at West Ham, Bellamy went on strike or at least played under protest (cant remember exactly) and got absolutely slaughtered by the fans when he went back
