My mate’s girlfriend needs a bit of help (votes) for a competition she is in.
Thanks guys and gals
not sure if the link is exactly right
i was directed to a page with a pretty girl to the left of which was an advert saying “Book a Free Ride”
I voted YES
(do we have to share the prize?)
which ex-England international was coming on as a substitute against Wigan at Springfield Park but had forgot to put his shirt on under his tracksuit and was therefore sent back down the tunnel by the referee leaving his team with only 10 men for a short period?
since joining the football league in 1978, how many times have Wigan been relegated?
who was the first Spaniard to score a goal in (any round of) the FA Cup?
… Quite how he is asking the team to defend is at times however a bit bafflingI don’t understand why we don’t have a man on each post when defending corners nor why we don’t leave at least one man somewhere up front.
41 :( on Monday41? you must have had an uphill paper round:-P
Happy birthday young un :-Sof the next 24 games – win 8, lose 8, draw 8
set us up nicely to win the last 2
finish with 44 points, 15th place
Be careful they could lock you up for such optimism !
only 7 more wins and 8 more draws to goBlunder referee Andre Marriner has been dumped from this weekend’s Barclays Premier League list as punishment for allowing Blackburn’s controversial goal at Wigan.out of interest, did anybody at the game actually see that the ball hadn’t been touched by the player who put it down and claim/shout about it at the time?
certainly none of our players protested;
and whilst it looked a bit iffy, i thought that it must have been legitof the next 24 games – win 8, lose 8, draw 8
set us up nicely to win the last 2
finish with 44 points, 15th place
Or indeed would you consider a Premiership atmosphere better than a Championship, League 1 or 2 atmosphere?
… The premiership is just now a money spinning joke. It’s not a sport any more.Previously you seemed to be saying that we should be trying to challenge for Europe (and that you wouldn’t be happy or attending matches until we get the investment to start doing so).
Now you seem to be saying that you have a massive gripe with the Premiership (many would agree with you) and that we would be better off in the Championship (many would agree with that too).
If you are in favour of being in the Championship how do you suggest that we get there other than by being relegated?
1. Started going in 1993do you wish that Whelan had never got involved back in 1995?
would you class yourself as a fair weather supporter?
do you hope that we lose on saturday?
It’s gone from Season Ticket holder, then to Watching every game on the telly and still caring to now just watching a game until we go 1-0 down and putting someone else on.when & why did you start watching Wigan in the first place?
which have been your favourite times (years/seasons)?I will go again when i see the team being invested in.Seriously, how much monetary investment by Whelan or ANO would it take to get you back watching matches?
And im afraid that when we go down we will go again.it is interesting that you still refer to the club/team as ‘we’ (not a question)
… Soak up the profits and run.do you think that Whelan has made a profit out of his involvement with the club and if so approximately how much?
He is not interested and he says he would sell the club for £50, If that is the case why doesn’t he just hand it over to one of the other board members, which of the other board members (or in fact who in general) do you think would have sufficient funds(*see question above) to make a meaningful investment in the club (and get you back watching matches)?
It’s a very fine line between winning and losing, agreed, we could easily have had at least a point from each of our last 7 games
Latics will be fine this season, seems a little optimistic even to optimists like myself
we are so close to getting back on track, one win will set us on our way”fingers crossed – beat blackburn, then get something up at sunderland; take december as it comes
whilst some may not view this as a laughing matter, i like the humour in the last paragraph …
History suggests that the top flight’s great survivors should not be written off too quickly. Wigan also suffered eight successive defeats, in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 and lived. But a light has gone out since then and the switch may be hard to find.
unbelievable how these guys still feel good results are just around the corner
…in the mean time lightsi do what you do best dig a hole put your head in it and try to keep kidding yourselves things will get better soonafter some further thought…
i am happy to bet you things WILL get better soon
i will bet you any amount (within reason) that things (the results) over the next 2 games are better than things over the last 2 games (0 points, aggregate 1-5) or 3 games (0 points, aggregate 1-6) or 4 games (0, 2-9) or 5 games (0, 2-11), etc.
you pick a value for the number of games (possibly even 8 to take us up to the end of the year) & you set the wager amount
we can settle up in the brick after the sunderland game, or you can pay me by paypalout of interest, in all seriousness what would you suggest would be an ‘acceptable’ return of points for the next 8 games? (maybe that would be a fairer bet?)
maybe i am deluded but my opinion is …
yesterday we didn’t dilly-dally around too much, moved the ball forward quite, got plenty players in the box, made easily enough chances to win, and our forward line (of 3) were lively and looked dangerous with the exception of the very last ‘kick’ towards (ok, away from) goal, of course
we were desperately unlucky not to be in front at least twice before we conceded
goals change games and it could have changed for the better for us if hugo had simply scored when he should havewe similarly unlucky to lose to both fulham and newcastle previously
based on the above then good results may be just around the corner
He failed to mention also the fact that we keep hitting the woodwork instead of the back of the net. B)
perhaps he might bring it up next time, i wonder if he watched the game v QPR they did the same on about 4 occasions in our one and only win.
L,M,B,We lose tomorrow late firework display by Sir Whelan himself, the clown might get Potted?A cat only has nine lives. :woohoo:
no chance – whelan will not sack martinez until we are struggling, because according to form at the moment, we are just unlucky.
whilst my beloved was/is watching x factor i spent the last 1/2 hour o so re-watching the highlights of the last 2 games on match of the day (recorded);
at the risk of being too much of a happy clapper goodpost
yes – we were genuinely unlucky in both games
AND on the whole we are genuinely very nearly quite a good team -
