Mourinho returning?
I thought we were particularly shite when we got all the way to carling cup final in Cardiff.
I’ll not stick up for him..! I will correct your English though. ” we were two nil down”
Leigh Jenkinson…..oh what a step over he hadHa ha you’re not kidding, and then another one, and another one…
Hugo was told he would be going on, long before the school kids started chanting Hugo’s name.
The thing is, every now and again; and I agree it is few and far between. You see a flash or spark of pure brilliance from Jordi. He is still very young and I feel he is treated appallingly by our fans. 12mins in when the daft bird four rows back shouted get him off. Just ridiculous. He has potential. If it doesn’t work out with Wigan this season fine. But If we go down Gomez could be a big player in championship for us.
Today I thought McCarthy was very very poor. This lad has not looked the same since all the nonsense of a Chelsea move back in the summer. Sammon also put in a performance that challenges my top spot of Leigh jenkinson against burnley springy park, for worst ever performance in a Wigan shirt.
For the record I’d like to add, I thought Whelan was bang out of order with his comments about Roberto. Keep that type of talk in- house Mr chairman!!!
Dam I must have got them out of the packet in the wrong order.
Nah, you’re wrong.
Why shouldn’t Martinez be credited? According to those stats Bruce is being credited for buying Valencia. Was it not Jewell who signed him?
I thought it was Bruce who signed him !![/quote]
No it was Jewell. Im not having Bruce take the credit for that one. Valencia was PJ’s little gem. Bruce wouldn’t know a decent buy if it slapped him across his fat head.
Going back to ‘value for money’ topic. Of recent managers I’d have them in this order.
1. Paul Jewell
2. Roberto Martinez
3. Chris hutchings
4. Steve BruceI’m basing mine purely on my own opinions, irrelevant of any statistics and on my sole enjoyment I gain and was enriched in latics footballing razzmatazz. For me Bruce was so much more negative than jewell or Martinez. His rigid set up away from home bored the hell out of me.
This “europes best young manager” thing’s not really taking off is it Papa!

they are a cr@p club with even cr@pper fans-fancy booing like they did on saturday.
I disagree with that. I think Villa a decent set up with very decent fans. I think the fans boo-ing was puerly based on the fact the players were not trying. Also aiming alot of it towards the manager.
Choosing the manager was a big mistake. He has no credentials for premierleague management what so ever having taken each of his clubs down.
regardless their fans turn up on mass to each and every game. not bad for a crap club and crap fans. i wish we had crap fans like that.
the ironic thing is; if we do go down. Keeping hold of Gomez, is what will probably give us the best chance of challenging to come back up.
he was scoring for fun in that league at Swansea.
So that signals boom time for Ouzo and Metaxa brandy.goodpost :woohoo: goodpost goodpost
Thing is it’s not only this season he’s been poor. He was poor all last season too.
Since he came it has been single episodes of quality. No doubt he has it in him, but he has never been consistent for us. I don’t think we are the team Hugo needs. Stick him up front for arsenal and he would be happy.
Get a fee and let him go on his way, in turn gaining a shed load on wages.
