Can’t believe some respond seriously to this clown.
Worst in our history surely. The 93/94 season was the Swain era! Given the situation Swain inherited this gives perspective to the season just gone.
Carson will be next as Nicholls will now be Number one. As for the rest Pearce staying, Perch undecided, Cowie staying, McKay and Waghorn staying, Chow staying, Huws staying. The rest gone.
Not negative. Fact. After 8 years in the top flight we should have built a better set up. Whelan promised this to Bobby years ago. Now it’s predicted to be 2016. If our infrastructure isn’t better than the teams listed given the money that has flowed in and out of the club over the last decade it would surely be disappointing.
Though it sounds good strikes me that the LFA Youth cup is a pretty sub standard competition played in by the likes of Bury, Rochdale, Tranmere and Preston rather than teams who have good Academy status. It’s a joke that after so long in the top division we haven’t built a better standard youth set up and despite all the ramblings I’m yet to hear a definitive answer on why the Charnock Richard training ground isn’t near completion. Poor hindsight which will now come back and bite us now we have to nurture our own.
Can only give you the facts as I was told them. Bad news is Cowie is staying too. I’ll bet you a grand Nicholls is number one next season!
Time to think about next season now. Heard yesterday that Nicholls will start as number one with both keepers on their way. Perch is undecided whether he is staying and apart from Pearce, Waghorn and Huws the rest will be on their way. It’s gonna be a busy Summer for Gary!
He means if you lay the bet you can’t lose. Can’t understand why any fan would bet on his own team to go down but each to their own!
Hang on here. Your a rugby fan on a Wigan Athletic forum and are completely obsessed with ‘crowd size’. You can take every away fan out of it and we still bettered your attendances in the top league and that’s a FACT. Season in, season out. Both clubs give away tickets as for the majority of your games too the ground is half full so unsure you can use that one!
Don’t worry about us. The glow of our FA cup win and the last ten years will last a decade to most of us. Most of us knew the bubble would burst eventually. Go and enjoy your northern scrubber sport in your jacamo clobber pal. Don’t forget to wipe that jiz off when you beat the mighty St Helens!
Still unsure what your point is? We have had bigger crowds than the Rugby for around a decade. We may well slip a couple of divisions meaning our attendances will drop. Similarly if you dropped one or two divisions so would yours. It’s more and more bemusing why you would want to compare the two clubs despite the facts remaining that you get fewer through the gate. If that changes will it really give you an erection next year? Say if we get 9k on and you average 11k? Feel for you really. Never imagined we would be so significant.
It’s just the way we pile straight in with little thought it appears. Think we are all United in hoping GC does well. Just hard to be convinced.
Couldn’t be more underwhelmed. Ffs. He can hardly run a session at the clubs academy u8s never mind run the first team. What’s the rush? It’s like some fella who splits up from his wife and cant be on his own so ends up banging the the rough bird who lives on the same street the same night through desparation. Can we not just go through a selection procedure?
Exactly what qualities does this fella bring? No experience. A hard working defender who at the end of his career ruined last season with a penalty missed in a cup semi and a reckless challenge in the play offs followed by a season coaching kids. Aye. A perfect ‘cheapo’ choice with Barrow at his side. Joke!
Am sure they will fill all of two coaches! The fans have been treated like shit all season. Whelans hardly said a word and now put some young kid in charge who can be a puppet. Find it hard to believe he sacked Mackay personally. Let’s hope they dont rush into an appointment. Best to write this season off and make sure someones in place by the end of May.
Talk about an over reaction. The bloke clearly frustrated simply walked over to the manager and vented his frustration. What’s the problem? If you went to a theatre and it was crap every week for 18 plays running you would be entitled to go to the managers office and say it was shite. Course it’s passion. He clearly gives a fuck. The way the fans have been treated and the lack of communication this season has been a joke. Least it was reported in the media how some fans feel and it has obviously had the desired effect.
First time sat in west stand today and have to say was only bit of passion i witnessed all day. Fair play to the bloke.
