These lads seem delighted with him. 29 goals in six seasons they say. Do they not know Di Santos on a free?
Seems a daft clause to me in a league where 5 million is bugger all. So if he had scored 25 (rather than 11) in the Premier league last season we would have still got 5 million? Its not the worst bit of business we have done but it hardly looks shrewd. Will be glad to not sign any more African players as you lose em for 2 months every 2 years for the African nations which is too disruptive.
Whilst Kone is decent it must be remembered that other than the team he is about to join he scored against Southampton. Newcastle. Norwich. Reading. West Brom. Villa. Oh and Huddersfield. Only one team on that list (West Brom) is in the top 10. Against decent defenders he aint exactly prolific!
Surprised Everton are prepared to pay 6.5 million for a 30 year old journeyman but not bad value for us. Thought Martinez would build for future more. Alcaraz at 31 is also a strange one but good luck to em both.
Aye but with parachute payments and the money in assets in our squad you would hope we would be in the top 8 surely. Who else can boast of a potential income of 40 million if we sell Mcarthy and Kone in the Championship?
All we need now is LMB penning a poem to celebrate our demise! We were heavily odds on to go down for the majority of the year. I said it before and ill say it again. Ill take the cup win over relegation. Its hardly exciting finishing 16th-20th in a league most years we dont have a cat in hells chance of competing in. Next season promises to be a cracker. A Wembley showcase followed by some belting derbies and a European run. Its took me a week to absorb but the appointment of Coyle looks decent. As he says his managerial record aint bad and in his 4 seasons against Martinez he has finished above him 3 times. Bring it on.
Messi is flat footed too. Dont seem to hinder him too much.
Mixed feelings. Ill always love Bobby for what he did for us and the loyalty he showed. The cup win aside i felt last season we had run out of ideas and we looked for the majority of games like a relegation team which struggled to score goals or defend. Ive always been amazed given our results under him that he finds himself in such demand but good luck to the guy. If he can orchestrate a move to a top 6 team on the back of taking a team down hes a better man than most. He will always be a club legend and i wouldnt be surprised if he came back one day.
He knows European football well. Has style, charisma and an eye for a signing. Why not?
With Moyes now announced as Manager of Man Utd on stock exchange in US with official appointment tomorrow it’s interesting to see Bobby go to 1-2 on to be Evertons next boss. Surely he won’t relegate us and just walk away!
If we had won the games when we have scored two at home we would now be sitting 7th in the league. If Bobby does step up he will need to learn to teach his teams to defend. Its not just been this season we have been poor.
Well done that man. Best Latics song ive heard. Should get songsheets round at Wembley. Genius.
Well it may come as a relief for some on here to know that with Moyes odds on to take over at United Bobby is odds on with some bookmakers to take over at Everton. Strange how all these clubs want this Manager who cant organise a defence and is tactically out of his depth as i keep reading on here.
Espinoza did well but first goal was definitely his fault when you watch it again. Afraid injuries look like they have caught up with us and we are now reliant on other teams to slip. Last night reminded me of QPR away game first half. Lots of ball but too slow when we get near opposition box am afraid.
Aye. Bloody rubbish Bobby. Its your fault your at the smallest club with the smallest budget in the league. Its your fault every time we get a decent player they want to leave. Its your fault all three of your defence is injured and we dont have a massive squad due to the fact that you have trimmed 20 million off our finances. And its your fault we have our biggest game in our history in 4 days as we contemplate being in Europe next year much to many of our fans aggravation. Its all your fault Bob im afraid.
