well there you have it,just goes to show how corrupt the f.a and the premier league are,i wonder if it had been barton, bowyer would the out come have been the same. You see players who jump to win headers but use there arms to jump higher get sent off but rooney did it with full intent gets away with it,the f.a bang on about racism, respect and fair play in the game well i am sorry but by refusing to do anything about this goes against everything they are trying to promote

Just watched the West Ham Liverpool game.WHU players are faster, fitter, up for it more, tactically better, etc. I know a lot of people don’t like Scott Parker but he gives 100% effort every time he plays. I wish we had half a dozen like him.
Martinez has said all along that “he will take us to the next level” Well Bob that’s one thing you have got right this season. As for people on here saying we will have a decent Championship side!!! How many of today’s squad will be here next season?
In all honesty I can see us doing a Bradford City.
Thanks Bob, in your two year tenure you’ve ruined 10 years of hard work
.

bronx dont you know that none of this is “BOB’S” fault, it is people like you and me typing negative things like this on fanzine message boards.
That is the real reason we are leaving the premier league without an ounce of fight, not beloved bobby.
Bobble head is simply incompetent. You can forgive that. The people who should shoulder the blame are Whelan and the ‘board’. They should have taken decisive action after spurs last season, or at worst binned him after Blackpool at home this season. Incompetent, over rated, out of his depth and sadly here for another two seasons.
Say that again, my lad plays for a team they get a lot of free tickets when the manager gives em out they say i dont want them it crap watching latics under bobby thats 12 years old kids i feel sorry for the manager he cant give em away :banana-skier: :animals-chickencatch: :obscene-drinkingcheers:

i am still here after all the protagonists at the time are distant memories and i will be here, hopefully, after martinez has long gone – dont you dare tell me to get behind the club because i have been behind this club since i was a nipper -it will not stop me expressing my disgust at the buffon in charge now, just as i did when pye and bates were dragging the club down.

The fact that you have supported the club since way back, joining supporters groups, attending meetings, etc., etc., does not make your opinion any more valid than others.

Wigan Athletic is a now million miles away from what went on back then. Whelan has decided that he cannot or will not invest in the club to the degree in which he has done previously. The Wigan public, despite having the opportunity to watch cheap Premiership football, has shown no desire to support the club beyond what seems to be about a 12,000 fan base.
Bruce left because of the limitations he had to work under. There was no real youth policy and no interest in developing the structure of the club below the first team level. Established Premiership players were acquired wherever possible and paid salaries beyond the means of the club.
So Whelan decided to cut his cloth and appointed a manager who shared his views on how the club had to change. Some of those changes can be seen. The club is in the process of reducing the wage bill by off-loading the high earners, young players with potential have been signed and the reserves are performing better.

Wigan Athletic will always struggle in the Premiership for the reasons mentioned. We could have an Allardyce, Pulis or McCarthy as manager and still get relegated but if relegation does happen this season I, for one, would sooner it be under the current regime rather than those previously tried alternatives.
no problem with any of that –
but can you please explain to those of us on the ‘darkside’ that dont seem to be as far-sighted as you – how you explain the, boring, unadventurous, mistake ridden, slow rubbish served up by martinez, or better still,
why,
despite the fact that martinez and his brand of football has taken us to the edge of the premiership precipice, has he not once changed it around or tried something different when it clearly not working – and that stubborn inability to adapt is why he is the worst manager in the premiership.
:text-goodpost: time he went on did us all a favour he simply not up to the job.

All them teams have had new managers summat what should have happened here after the spurs drubbing time the clown went back to the circus cos he not a prem manager, excuse’s all the time wearing thin now,but we still get @rse wipes sticking up for him, on ere, even in the championship we be a laughing stock with the clown in charge aswell has our attendences.

I was sat in the normal place in the East End, and probably reflecting on the blackburn game I just felt there was no atmosphere behind the lads. We had a more than average attendance probably due to all the united fans in our end, in front of me couldnt even hide there shirts :( We couldnt get the motivation to cheer to team on, if you think back to blackburn we were all stood up and shouting pleading and praying and the team got behind that no end. Ali throughout was jumping up and down at the fans. At this game he couldnt even look at the stands.

Regardless of the manager squad or formation I dont want to see the team go back into the champ, but without the support of the supporters I cant see how we can progress.

Just my reflection on todays game on a non performance basis.

Get to grips with it cause we not at bottom for alphabetical reasons,we been there most of the season now,it our turn to go this year heads up we still got one of the best coming managers whelans famous words. :banana-skier: :happy-jumpeveryone:
