yea i was there through the springfield park days .so was my father and my sons ,remember going to the likes of wimbledon midweek ,i also went to places like runcorn, fleetwood in the non league days ,went to wembley latics v scarborough early seventies ,i had high hopes watching them through every division ,when we got to the prem i thought it would be just the one season but we did fine, the fans turned up in thousands first and second season ,then whelan and his i must sell my stars syndrome kicks in ,so the family gets yellow water off, final straw for me was palacios and heskey leaving , so i did not go to another game after that ……. i was going to get a season ticket start of this season so were my sons ,but the fiasco of cats once more changed my mind i said fook it (bobby cats wont be sold, whelan sold him)……untill the club shows ambition i wont be back , now its zoggy ,roders ,even heard moses could be leaving .well whelan can fook off

It is frustrating that we are a selling club, totally agree with you and it’s something i’ve moaned about regularly, I do hope though that with the wheeling and dealing that Whelan’s done, so far successfully, one day we will not have to sell so many players season after season.
When you see the state of so many clubs at the moment, reality kicks in and I for one accept now that we must sell some of our better players, in order to balance the books and keep a steady ship. The one thing you can’t stop is the rumour mill.

its not the teams that worry me its the officials ;)

Any idea who the ref is on Sunday, if it’s Dowd or Attwell I’m having a tenner on Fulham.

Seems a bit dear to me for what you get ! The best restaurant in Wigan would be half the price of that with vino thrown in.

I think the flags look quite good up there, I’ve got a feeling though that there would be some bizarre reason that the stadium won’t let Wigan Athletic fans put flags up on the stands, we’ll see.

It was a poor error by the keeper last night, this shouldn’t mean that we all decide he’s cak and shouldn’t play for us again, when a keeper makes a mistake it generally costs you a goal, when a striker makes a mistake we say good effort and better luck next time(for a while anyway). I think he was expecting a free kick for the high foot coming towards him, in Europe it would have been probably, he’ll have to get to grips with our game, claim everything and leave the awarding of free kicks to the ref.

i think trevor fooking brooking will stop any appeal , i think he as a finger in the dodgy refs we have had of late ,to help his beloved wetshambles.

I hope he washes it before he shakes hands with people.

Do you think Tricky Trev will ensure that we have Attwell for our remaining fixtures then ?

I know what you’re saying but there were at least 2 identical challenges from City players after Caldwell was sent off which went unpunished, most refs use a bit of common sense with the letter of the law, most games would end up 9 a side otherwise.
Attwell is a Sunday League ref, how many chances will he get ?

My knowledge of football is very limited, that’s the reason I come on here, I need educating by you, the font of football knowledge and the next manager of Wigan Athletic.
