Espinoza looks promising, maybe they’ll find a few more like him, British players usually overpriced anyway .
Hotel booked, looking forward to a good day out and hopefully adding to our silverware .
He must have meant as Bolton manager, give him the benefit, still comes out on top of Saint Roberto of the coveted passback .
Not sure if I mentioned that Pat McGibbon n his lad were sat with me at the final n Neil Warnock was my newest best mate as we chatted socially at the Marriott regents park
He’s ok, disappears from time to time, worth £5 mill, hope we get £15 mill and Coyle gets it all to spend (unlikely)
Bob lost sight of the fact that in football it is a good idea to put the white leather thing in the net rather than pass it accross defence, he seemed happy if our possesion percentage was superior to the oppositions, even though we’d just lost 2-0 ??? Good luck Owen Coyle .
He was ok but I was concerned over the free kicks he gave away in dodgy areas needlessly, only ever a bit part player
Is it just me or did Whelan look a disappointed man in this interview. He did not sound upbeat about his appointment nor did his body language look positive. I got the distinct impression that he wanted Mclaren to be manager, but he wasn’t willing to work with a one year contract or Whelan had offered him £2 million pounds for his transfer kitty.I agree completely, he wasnt upbeat or enthusiastic at all, asked why he’d chosen Coyle he seemed lost for words for once, I think McClaren knocked us back n Whelan went for plan b .
Ronaldo’s future isnt sorted yet, with the money Dave’s saved getting Coyle we can get him and Bale in
Bolton might not be a bad first game, Coyle has a point to prove and beating them 5-0 in the opener wouldnt do him any harm in winning friends
I’m sure he wont ask players to pass back to our keeper when theyre on the edge of the oppositions box, I will keep an open mind and support WAFC .
I wouldn’t have picked Coyle but we need to get behind him now and hope he proves us wrong
We’re not talking about a massive amount of money in football terms, what has Poyet really done to warrent paying compensation for him over the other two candidates, Coyle got Burnley up and McClaren has won foreign league titles and a domestic cup, both have been more successful and are available for free, it’s easy to say Whelan is just being tight but on this occasion he’s probably doing the right thing in my opinion, all Poyet’s done so far is show promise . I think you are saying Coyle as he would be the cheaper option Griff but I think Whelan will box clever on the wages side and pay McClaren on results .
I had an investment at 16’s on Robinson and certainly wouldn’t exclude him from the race just yet.Robinson 25/1 with some bookies now if u still fancy him .
McClaren odds on now with Coyle drifting slightly, Muelensteen making a little come back, come on Stevie baby, show daddy the money
