I would have him over any of our forwards !
Nah, He is one of those United players they get from time to time that get carried by the rest of the team. Butt, P Neville, Gibson, Sharpe, Carrick, Richardson, Bellion, Kleberson, Manucho, Djemba Djemba, Obertan. Put those type of player in any other side and they look extremely average and soon disappear.
Never rated Welbeck, and there is truth in you get picked for England depending on which club you play for.
Not sure about Carrick though, he is a good passer of the ball..
Carrick is class.
Class?! You’ve had too many cans_of_lager!! :woohoo:
Put down The Sun like Jimmy, Standy W and I and actually watch football and you’d see that Carrick is a class midfield. Do you think Ferguson picks in week-in and week-out for top bantz?! After five years he’s have given up on that joke if that was the case. Easily one of the Top 5 midfielders in the EPL.
Look at the f**king state of those comments Salford. I’ve rattled you winking little fruit.
You’re an absolute embarrassment of a football fan. You don’t even go to home games and I’ll give you my seat number if you want to take this to PM

We can be pals Wallstock. I’ve got time for that.

Does the Wasps rugby union club have a B team? That sounds more like a Shelbyville way of thinking.
I will stupidly be carrying on my tradition of placing at least £100 on Holland (Netherlands) to win the world cup (As I do with the Euros also)).
We all know how the England selection policy works though and if he had signed for Man U in the summer Cole would have probably played his last game for England.
Oi oi lads! Salford’s got his tin foil hat on again.
Cole > > Baines
While the statistics dont lie I think Baines superiority vs Cole stems from the fact that Baines learnt his trade during Wigan Athletics magnificent rise up the football ladder.
Ashley Cole had to learn his trade on loan at some tin pot London club who’s best player doesnt play for them anymore and promotion chances rest on the tired shoulders of Kevin “Grandad” Phillips….
SEETHING ;)
The big question I would like to put forward, is……
WHY DO WE HAVE TO PLAY A ‘SET STYLE’?
I don’t quite get why any manager would be as rigid as Martinez is with the actual style of play they are trying to achieve. This has puzzled me since he came to us as manager.
Rigid? What games have you been watching?
I cant keep up with what formation we play this season its 3 at the back then its 4 then its 3 again then its 2 up front then its 3.
Martinez has to be the least rigid manager in the PL this season.
He does however stick to the basic principles that we should attempt to play the other team off the pitch.
Long gone are the days of hit and hope and to that I say good riddance and WELL DONE ROBERTO goodpost goodpost
Don’t insinuate that I don’t go to games….not missed a home game in years, pal. Missed about 7 homes since I started following Latics in 1986.
I’m not talking formations!!!! I never was.
I’m talking about this ‘thou shall pass it to death’ shite.
Get the fuckin ball in the other teams net and stop them getting it in ours. It really is THAT fuckin straightforward.
This football is SHITE. That’s MY opinion. I am ENTITRLED to it.
I think the time has come to give this site a miss……..
The ‘select few’ have an opinion, nobody else gets one on here.
SEETHING.
I have been looking back over some of the post’s in forum and see the term ‘Must win game’ being chucked about a lot.Can somebody please explain to me why games such as Southampton last week, and away to Reading on the 23rd are ‘Must Win’?
In my eyes, the term ‘Must Win’ is acceptable to use on the final day of the season, needing 3 points to survive. Over the last 4 seasons fans have continued to say ‘this is a must win’, and despite losing the supposed ‘Must Win Game’, we have still managed to survive.
It angers me that people use this term so much, and criticise Roberto for saying comments such as ‘It’s another vital point’.
In my Opinion, there no point identifying games with such a big stake, when to be honest, if we do loose, it’s not a big deal. Yes, I agree that it is important to pick up points now, instead of the last 4 games of the season, but we have all seen Wigan turn it around from here, and I fully believe that will again do it this season.
Has anybody else got a view about this? And what is your definition of a ‘MUST WIN GAME?’

Top post goodpost
Jason De Vos looked out of his depth against the pacier strikers in the English games 3rd level & even more so when we got promoted & hence why Jewell let him go.BULLSHIT.
He’s not been the same since Moaty turned down fishing.
Apparently Kone is on his way back and may feature in the Chelsea game if he isn’t suffering any side affects from travelling. That’s news worth taking your pants off for :woohoo:
Careful lads they have a Champions league winning keeper in Ross Turnbull to come in ;)
Season has finished yet.
if this is the best he can muster.”I couldn’t be happier,we didn’t play as well as we can but we’ve added another point. Our defending wasn’t chaotic.Southampton pressed us and in winter the ball doesn’t roll as quickly and that allows pressure to be effective “.Piss off clean shirt.
