Yeh I just cant understand playing perch in midfield – he adds nothing more then kvist but more than boyce at RB, I just cannot work this one out ….
With the fixtures we have left, the chance to stay up is ours for the taking. Thankfully most of the crunch games are away, but we need to start picking points up at home.Sadly though, I think after the first mis-laid pass on Saturday the chorus of booooo will ring out and we’ll be back to square one.
Don’t agree with that, Egg – I think Saturday we will get behind them as usual. I personally haven’t heard that many boos but maybe im a bit deaf .. but I reckon on Saturday, especially with 2 wins on the bounce, that the vast majority of us will be backing the lads 100% and encouraging every move, believing that we can go on and get out of this mess we have been in for the majority of the season … Up the ‘tics
Not too sure about the timing of this – I would have thought he could have told the players he was retiring at the end of the season, and go out and give it one last push for him.. sure that would have given players a bit of a boost. Timing of this is a bit strange in my opinion …..
I would take 6 yellows as a positive – shows we are battling for the cause …. mind you, the size of our squad if we get 6 yellows every game we wont be able to field a team one week
Great result, lets keep it going …
Sky report Hull “no longer interested in Mclean” and “Villa interested in McCann” ..
I still believe we can stay up, there’s still time to get out of this mess – we have been poor all season, but I still think this transfer windows outgoings can be the catalyst, getting rid of the uncommitted, bringing in hopefully those who want to keep the club up, and not just bugger off at the end of the season no matter what, which lets be honest was probably the mind-set of those now gone.
All we need is a few wins on the bounce…. OK maybe start with one then, but confidence breeds confidence and I believe we can get out of this mess, no more moaning about this or that, accept our situation and get behind the lads….
Is he an attacking midfielder ? Boy we would do with one or two of those ..
Im surprised Malky hasn’t given Caldwell a run out, I know hes a player/coach these days, but really would havehave thought he would have give him a few games, we need his type of character at the moment – organiser, shouter, motivator – we need someone like this to bring some confidence an organisation … IMO
Yeah, there wont be any left soon :P
Calm down calm down
We have no devine right to be in this league, we aren’t second bottom by chance, we are where we deserve to be. If that means we get relegated, so be it, if we stay up, so be it. This is part and parcel of being a supporter. Im far from happy with us being where we are at the moment, but keep the faith, we’ve had years of highs recently now its time for possibly some years of lows … it just makes it all the better feeling when the highs come along. Buckle up and enjoy the roller-coaster that supporting Wigan Athletic is …
Hmmmmm

Bon Jovi – Keep The Faith
A man staggers into the emergency room with a concussion, multiple bruises, and a five iron wrapped around his neck. Naturally the doctor asks him what happened.
“Well, it was like this” said the man. “I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife, when at a difficult hole, we both sliced our balls into a pasture of cows. We went to look for them, and while I was rooting around I noticed that one of the cows had something white in it’s rear end. I walked over and lifted up the tail, and sure enough, there was a golf ball with my wife’s monogram on it stuck right in the middle of the cow’s butt. Thats when I made my mistake.”
“What did you do?”, asked the doctor.
“Well, I lifted the tail, pointed, and yelled to my wife, “Hey! This looks like yours!”
I think he’ll come in and grab the bull by its horn.
