11-1 is amazing value and given odds on other teams i cant understand bookies logic. We have more assets in our current squad than any other chamoionship team with approximately 30 million quids worth of talent potentially for sale. Add parachute payments and money from UEFA and price looks a bargain to me.
UEFA might well end up costing us money, not making money.[/quote]
Not often ( well never) but I’ve gotta agree with you there Griff. I looked at the teams that are likely to hit the group stages and out the 17 teams 10 will come from the champions league group stage losers.
Roma or Lazio at the DW ??? Jesus wept !! Whelan will no doubt be doing a “Spag Boll Pie”There’s no doubt clubs will come in for him. If he decides to move on I just hope were ever he goes they’ve got plenty toilet roll at hand.
The expansive way he likes his football takes some getting use to. And will he get the time he’s had at Wigan ?. Well when his system works it’s excellent to be a part of, but when it fails it’s like piles , very painful to sit there.
Everton to me would be a grave mistake, they would need some serious rebuilding as there’s no doubt Moyes will poach and what’s left are either too old or just not good enough.
All this takes money and time , something Everton don’t have and won’t give.
The Newcastle fans are seemingly loving our relegation. I gladly pointed out to one on a forum that , we might have empty seats at games, similar to their Trophy cabinet ;)
Shaun for me 100%
Because Wigan didnt sell 3,000 tickets. Why should Arsenal leave 2500 empty seats when they can sell them?I hope your dog dies in a horrible road accident
If he does decide to move on then the next guy in will have a near impossible task to sort.
Half the team will no doubt be gone,
rebuild a side in the matter of weeks on a low budget,
and the best part of 60 odd games and 2 games a week for half a season.
The EUFA Cup sounds good on paper ” EUROPEAN TOUR” all that but how many will actually travel to all the places ?. I would have preferred a qualifying round match with one game home/away, a great away day trip then concentrate on getting back up.
The only way we stand a chance if Bobby stops and convinces players to give it one season, If bobby leaves I feel a mass exodus will take place.
We’ll start the season with a backlog , I’m told the first game in the Championship lands the same week as the charity shield , I might be wrong though.
Man United at Wembley, Bolton away, Blackburn away, Burnley away, Huddersfield away, Blackpool away, Leeds away, Yeovil away, Brighton away, Feyenoord away, Hamburg away, Fiorentina away, retaining the cup … this is going to be a cracking season. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:Lets hope non of these good day out’s land on the weeks we play in the UEFA cup or Sunday it will be.
Oh dear – someone’s hurting this morning! On the bright side, the CCC is very northern-dominated, so you and the other 19500 who couldnt be arsed to go last night might get out of your armchairs and go and cheer your side on.
Fair play to those who were in the visitors end last night in fancy dress – as Arsenal fans.
See Ya!
I hope your dog gets run over
Got to disagree with that. Kone has been an unsung hero winning every single ball and being the best holdup player since Heskey, creating space for McManaman and Maloney to take the headlines with their more attractive style of play. My man of the match for the cup final
I disagree but it won’t make a difference because he won’t be here next season.
The problem I have with next season is “SUNDAY FOOTBALL”. With us going straight into the group stages and a possible 10 matches to play Thursday/Sunday will be a regular thing. There’s also the extra 8 league games + FA Cup Carling Cup and a small squad it’s going to be nigh impossible to come straight back up next season.
I can’t stand Sunday football
I personally think Kone has been off his game for a while. His postional play and helping back was fookin bone idol. If it weren’t for shaun and MacManaman we would have gone down a few week back.
I lost count the times he was stood on the wrong side of 3 defenders waiting for the ball rather than making a run and cut across. And to be honest, I support Wigan not the Premiership.
been to 8 away this season, league and cup, I’ve yet to see us lose.On that note I’ve decided that, If I can get a ticket and some transport I will be attending Arsenal tonight, If I don’t were down :(:(
Is that superstitious ?
3 tickets left at ticket office , no way of getting down there     what a pisher
Is there any coaches I could hop on for tonight or do you have to be a member of the supporters or summut ?, If I can sort transport I can try for a ticket or billy bullshhit my way in the ground. If anyone knows of a coach/lift I can cadge on let us know .
