Most managers talk nonsense after the game – especially if it is one they have lost. I don’t think Martinez was an exception.

to quote 1 of many waffling post match interviews by Martinez. After we lost to Swindon in the FA cup “Swindon deserved to win , we have to enjoy that” ffs

I personally don’t give a flyer about Martinez and Everton, I can only thank him for the FA Cup but I can see why some folk do resent him.

At least Jewell made a promise to stay if we went down and try to get us straight back up, hence the reason why some feel Martinez jumped ship. I certainly don’t miss the Manuel type waffling post match interviews that made about as much sense as Cantonese writing.

We’d better of getting Gary Rhodes, at least he could sort out those cardboard crust pies.

Who is going to represent Wigan at the draw? What do they think?

Martinez ? or Whelan, he broke his leg in the Cup final you know !.

With the heavy fixture list I honestly thought that the likes Crainey and McCann were brought in as cover not first on the team sheet.

Crainey isn’t good enough , period, McCann is clearly out his depth and McClean as a wideman ?? his skill factor is “0”, works hard but gets no were fast.

It doesn’t seem fair when the likes of McArthur are pushed out of position and then pay the price. I would have preferred to have seen Boyce in the middle of defense along side Barnett and Perch on the right.

I’ve said before , there’s not much wrong with the squad as a whole, it’s the manager who is getting it harse over titt wrong.
at least when Espinoza came on he tried to take folk on and inject some pace into the game.

I’ve never seen a more disjointed bunch of players in all my years. I’m sorry but unless Coyle strings together better performances than of late and strings together a few wins Mr Whelan won’t stand for it and the big P45 door with Christmas deccey’s on it beckons for Coyle.

What killed me on rugby semi’s day was , how many were in the pubs in Wigan town centre watching the game on TV with the rugby shirts on !, embarrassing.

Beausejour should have started at left back overlapping ( like Boyce and Maloney did first half) with a totally frustrated McClean who had no support. I just hope Coyle stops trying to accommodate five in the middle and realises were far better with the players at hand when Holt has a strike partner.

Crainey past his sell by date , McCann awful, but when all said and done Coyle had players on the bench to come on and change the game so for me the buck lies with pencil legs for getting the starting line up tatics/team totally wrong.

And what’s with the 1/2 dozen crosses in the 2nd half been over hit ? Not one found the 6 yard box with 2 forwards waiting.

McManaman needs to cool it , if you watch it again the other player has a little peck at him just before McManaman and the red mist appears just before he slides in.

To me it’s a perfectly good tackle but the rules these days say different, an appeal will make no difference.
What annoyed me more was Harte chipping in and asking for the player to be sent off.

its from a similar angle to this goal but from the other side of the pitch :)
