Get prepared for another shitfest of football if that’s the case.

He needs to show us in 2-3 matches what his intentions are.
Winger, Midfield general who pushes forward and two strikers. Simple. Actually this can start tomorrow.
Line up with 4-2-3-1 and bullshit like that and his intentions will be clear.

Agree Paul Jewel was our best ever manager both for the success of double promotions, getting Latics to a cup final and keeping us up.
Along that route it was our most entertaining football by a million miles.
Hopefully Kolo can follow in his footsteps and also into Roberto’s shoes albeit for 5% of his games in charge.

Coyle was only disliked because he was a Wanderers reject. He worked a miracle in getting a squad together that could compete after the mess left after Martinez took us down. We had to get up and running and compete in Europe too.Remember his side made the play offs too.
His football was no worse than the rubbish churned out by Roberto 95% of the time.
Anyway Eggy I will agree to differ with you about football styles we all have different opinions.

The amount of money we spent under Bruce we should have had a good side. His football was crap to watch though and we blew European football because he basically packed in knowing he was walking away and leaving us AGAIN.

As you’ll see from his recent appointments he’s failed to change his philosophy with the times.

You may not like it, but 442 a big one and a little one just isn’t what football is about nowadays. I’m going to predict right now that Kolo won’t play 442.

And that would be a real shame to not return to playing ‘The Wigan Way’.
We are at that stage where we do need to end the lacklustre, boring, turgid bilge type passing for passings sake one up top or big boot to one up top rubbish. We have a glorious opportunity to see wingers and strikers and it would be such a crying shame to yet again have another variation of what Roberto brought to our club.
                Oh and well said Ally.

Sorry but we only had the best league side we ever had then. Not as entertaining as the Jewell move through the leagues but much better to watch than anything weve seen since.

I just want to watch exciting football. Long passes, short pass and move. A wide man taking defenders on and crossing high to a striker or going around a defender and cutting back a cross to an oncoming striker or midfielder. A grafter type in midfield or midfield general who can battle and take on defenders. A striker or even two who will come back and defend but who can dribble a ball. Remember dribbling, it was fab. I like defenders to be defenders but when it’s right to bring the ball forward and overlap with the winger.
All much better than an insistence of pass, pass, pass sideways or backwards.
Please Kolo get back to my preferred way, the Latics way the likes of what we haven’t seen since Steve Bruce’s days.

It was the style we had under Bobby and others and that was with more superior players and from day one 95% of the time that was dire to watch. Awful turgid rubbish.
Oh and City wouldn’t have Josh Magennis up top on his own and the attacking midfielders and wing backs we have.
Pike fishing season will do my mental much more good.

Well it’ll be fishing on Saturdays then. Won’t be paying to watch shit like that again falling asleep in the stands.

Lets pray he isnt a fan of tippy tappy, negative boring one up top walking football. Totally had enough of crap like that when the only thing matters is not losing.
Lets get back to proper Latics football binned off when Martinez arrived.

Just get Big Dunc in and in there at 7 o’clock on Monday morning and kick some life into the squad.
                            Get the loanees back.
Play an out and out winger, two up top and a power house positive midfielder.
Let’s end the drab, have some fun and see the football pre Martinez back at New Springfield.

Yesterday would have made sense to have kept Keane in a midfield role. Played Bennett as left wing back and have Wyke and Broadhead as the two strikers.
That would have given us Lang Shinnie and McClean on the bench.

There’s been plenty transfer activity. One signing and plenty leaving.
Ok the ones that have gone are no great shakes and couldn’t get regular spots in the team but we have come up a level and at the moment have a weaker squad than the squad that finished last season.
What is more worrying is the absolute diabolical communication between representatives of the club and the fans and supporters. Could only be described as amateurish at best.
