I was told by a friend he watched the FA Cup final with an ex manager in a pub in Morton. Not sure if it was Kenny Swain or not.
Sun Aug 11 Manchester Utd (Community Shield) Wembley
Tue Sep 17 Sheffield Wednesday (postponed) A
Tue Oct 1 Queens Park Rangers (postponed) HWe’ll be three games behind everybody else at this stage!
As we have seen, it’s difficult to be behind others but have games in hand.
And we don’t want to be playing postponed matches at the end of the season again.
The Doncaster game posponed from the 11th Aug will be on the 20th aug.
Good to see that kids can get in for £10 at Wembley for the Community Sheild.
My personal take on this is that for as long as martinez was manager, we’ve seen us win 16 times at home over four years. Now, forgive me, whilst playing in the Prem is fantastic getting mullered every week doesn’t work for me.I’m looking forward to winning more than we lose in the Championship and enjoying the buzz of winning regularly again.
As Coyle put it: Coyle 7 Martinez 1. Nuff said.
Let’s get behind our new manager and hope we enjoy a really successful season.
Blue Army
You should have gone to some of the away games as we won some of those as well, including a couple at Wembley.
I guess that some of us could see how things were unfurling before our very eyes whilst others refused to accept it ! It was mid January when I realised that we would more than likely go down and despite a very brief period of hope ( 1 week ) my fears were eventually confirmed ! Darkside ? No. realist ? Yes ! ;)

Bravo Mystic Meg, there is a difference to believing we will go down and wanting to believe we will stay up. personally I have loved the bumpy ride that was Martinez reign, and accepted the relegation when it came.
The thing the darkside will never understand is supporting your team and enjoying it while it lasts. being a defeatest and accepting fates before they have come to pass. Must have been a sad old time for you.
Shoudl have had your money on us for the cup at the start of the season 500-1 lol
If the truth be known, the FA Cup win papered over the cracks of a pretty disappointing final Premiership campaign that ultimately ended with us bailing out ! I wanted us to survive but saw hardly anything to give me hope and that is what I wrote, say what you see ! Bar the FA Cup there was not too much to enjoy about last season especially the the home form which was dire to say the least ! If you chose to suppress the very fact that we played like a relegation destined side then fair enough but deep down I knew that our 8 year stint was coming to an end but it was far far from a sad old time for me because I had more or less accepted the fact and was prepared !
The bottom line is the Darkside never understood the lightside. The lightside was split into two camps, a small minority would believe martinez was god, time will tell for that, the rest chose to be positive and support the club and just get on with it rather than the negative rhetoric displayed by many on these boards. Choosing our life to be positive and hopeful as opposed to negative and (insert own word here) is the way we chose to watch our football.
I will stand by the decision to sit in the Lightside camp.
And the FA Cup will never be forgotten and Martinez gave it to use, with two magnificant tactical performances.

No point in selling him cheep as Hamilton will take a fair wedge of it. If he puts in a request then fine but we gave him a break, he owes us.
No blu ray?
Decrypting post match interviews through the waffle and the bullshiit,Having subs stood there at the ready then taking 20 mins to get them on,
Stood on the touchline on his own for 90mins avoiding everyone just incase someone gave him a piece of helpful advise (he knows best),
Playing a fecked “I need a new hip” Caldwell against Swansea at a crucial time in the season when a fit Golobart sat and watched.
Me ? , Thankyou for FA Cup now go and “soak up everything about Everton”
(a job and smack)
and get them in the Champions League ??,Jesus wept ! on about your own trumpet.
Utd will strengthen
City already splashing major cash,
Arsenal lowering their wage bill to make room and a large pot to delve in,
Chelsea, Mourinho with cash to spend,
And that’s without mentioning Liverpool or Spurs.I’ll give him a season if he’s really lucky.
I thought his sub in the cup final was awful, maybe if he brought Watson on earlier we could have won 3-0. Rubbish Martinez.
Funny you should mention that, that was exactly what I was told at the Villa game, that the agreement was made after the Wembley final. The only difference was that Jonesy was staying as our Manager. That appers not to be so.This makes me think Martinez didnt worry too much about the relegation bit.
FA CUP Winning Mentality.
Beating All the top flight clubs.
Positivity.
Belief.BOB has gone, thanks for the memories, and not just the cup final. Biggest defeats and memorable victories. Been a rollercoaster.
Lets hope we do it right and keep the best players for 1 season.
Season ticket prices are excellent really – can’t complain. A bit miffed though that South stand will be unreserved seating. Same seats not guaranteed so why the change and for what benefit…anyone know?I believe we have invested in half time musical chairs, and to avoid the pain of returning to your own seats….
Thanks, saving my money for a couple of easyjet flights into europe, Lazio anyone ;)Hope not, fans are nutters in Rome.
When I saw tha red triangle I thought it was an early channel 4 porno…
