A good signing for Boro.
The type of player we would take to at Latics.
Not a bad £1m investment by them so far though. Six goals and two assists from Adomah to date.We agreed a fee with Bristol but he chose to go Boro instead.
I think he’d taken a quick look on this board and thought “fuck that”!
I think you will find that most if not all football forums are akin to this one !
One of the worst dead ball technicians in the business for sure !
Are they hydroponics I see there on the pitch ? What’s all that about !
Someone needs to pull Ben Watson to one side and tell him he is shit at free kicks !
It would have helped at Blackpool if OC had played his strongest team available and played players in position and at least started with one recognised striker.
Yo seem to be very knowledgeable…
What is his strongest team and why do you think he didn’t start with one recognised striker?
There are some clues in some of the other current threads.
The only clues are that you seem to agree or accept what the manager chose to do against Blackpool re team selection ! There are quite a few on here who counter that !
I do think that he should have started with one of our recognised strikers though !
I’d like to think he thought neither of them were fit enough to play from the start.
What’s the difference with playing mins 0-30 and mins 60-90 ?
A huge difference. Main one being that at 60-90, most of the rest other players are not at their best either.
Not so sure about that, I thought the last 20 mins or so were the liveliest for both sides ! :)
Perhaps because we brought on two strikers who were just about fit enough to cause havoc for 20 minutes. Blackpool were lively because we left gaping holes in midfield and at the back as we pressed for a goal.
It’s not hard Phil,, try to keep up. ;)
Are you suggesting that players were tiring after an hour of playing football with a 20 min break thrown in and after an international break ! Rubbish !
I do think that he should have started with one of our recognised strikers though !

Because he’d prefer not to play them at all until they were full fit, but as we were losing he had no option.
Do you not think that we as a club have an awful lot of injuries ? Is it bad luck or is there some underlying problem maybe todo with the training and actual playing techniques ? I read an article on the subject ages ago and seeing as we always seem to have quite a few ongoing injuries wondered if it was related !
McClean can brush this business under the carpet now and concentrate on getting his teeth into pasting the opposition ! :)
I see the football as an escape for a few hours ! Everybody needs some “Me Time” now and again.

When Owen Coyle first came to us a friend of mine whose a noblot fan ( yeah I know)
said ” He’ll demoralise your players then he’ll demoralise your fans”.
I Honestly don’t think the players are yet, with the odd probable
exception, but listening to our fans at Blackpool during and after the game many
fans are certainly demoralised.Whats your opinion?
My opinion is that a good portion of our supporters get easily demoralised – to be more precise they get “demoralised” when we do not win.
We had more or less all of the game for the first 20 minutes during which time we passed the ball about well on the whole and created a number of good opportunities.
If Nick Powell hadn’t missed the open goal with his header then we would have been in strong position to go on and win.
The penalty turned the tide for a while but we could easily had been back level by half time.
The 2 substitutions came with plenty of time left and we were unlucky not to score (statistically we had the most off target shots of any team at weekend) at least once or twice during the 2nd half during which time, other than the last 3 minutes, we kept Blackpool pretty much pegged back.
It would be nice to win every week but we do not have a divine right to do so.
I am not a bit Owen Coyle fan but I think that people need to take a more measured look at things.
I do think that he should have started with one of our recognised strikers though !
We are obviously missing Maloney. Not sure what’s going on with Espinoza ? The two front men are supposedly fit now and so that will improve things. The main excuse many gave for Martinez for finally succumbing to the drop was injuries and so what is the difference now ? To have both our strikers and our most influential midfielder injured is surely a big problem is it not !
Why would you presume that he isn’t married when he attended his step daughters wedding ! I would have thought that he is in some sort of relationship if he has a step daughter! Just saying !
Whether you thought we looked like scoring and I didn’t,well, in my eyes, although I have to say they sre nearly fcked, Powell looked like he
was going to score, we looked like we were going to score when we hit the bar, twice, and we looked like we going to score when we had a shot blocked on the line.
will that do for now?
maggot
Pretty much the whole game summed up in one comment ( You did however miss the only save that Gilks had to make ) :)
