I am tied between two great moments.Hammering North End 5-0 was particularly sweet for me as I hate Nob Enders just as much as I hate Utd and their glory hunting fans, which leads me to the other moment I would like to relive which was gaining not only our first points off Utd but actually beating them, especially as many say that our win attributed to them not winning the league that season !
Most of those on here who harp on about the Prem and that we wont/cant get relegated for various respective reasons will just take relegation on the chin if and when it happens ! They will turn it round to make it look like they were never concerned about relegation,that they half expected it anyhow, that they will still go on and that all us Darksiders will not go on now the bandwagon has crashed etc. ( Let’s see how many of our loyal fight for the cause players jump ship if we go down ! )There will be no talk of ” Oh shit we are in it now financially ” or ” Well that’s us a rugby town again ” ! On my part there will be no ” Told ya so ” or ” Rubbish Wigan ” just acceptance of the fact that we had a good run and that we just didn’t have the financial resources to establish ourselves in the top flight as a competitive force ( Better than relegation zone battle year in year out ! )

The thing is God ( I feel like I am saying my prayers ! ) I only ever leave early when it is a complete lost cause and we have no chance of getting anything out of the game, the rest of the time I make my way up to the exit steps for the final few minutes and watch the remainder of the game from there.I once left on the 62nd min when we went 3-0 against Villa and we were playing absolutely shite ! I guess that was a big one off to get 5 goals in under half an hour after playing utterly shite and trailing 3-0 ! I also left the Utd game on 75 mins at 3-0 down as I had seen enough, was freezing cold and in need of the warmth of the pub plus booze! That also as you know ended 4-0 ! I guess I have soothsayer tendencies ! ;)
