The equivalent of a whip round for a coach driver to the likes of us pro rata wages wise ! I would be pleased if we showed some fighting spirit once in a while and didnt totally collapse like we have done several times already this season ! All we hear in their defense is Chelsea this and Villa that !! In my honest opinion those 2 sides were pretty poor by their standards when we beat them ! We showed the sort of bottle and guile that I like when we came from behind to beat Burnley in a gritty and hard fought derby ! More of that and we will be ok but tin pot gestures mean fcuk all to me personally !
Bob took the players out last night for a meal to take things off their minds. The waiter asked him for his order and he replied ” I will have the roast beef and roasted potatoes please ” The waiter asked ” And What about the vegetables ? ” Bob replied ” They will all have the same as me ” !!!!
So thats £32 ish times how many 100 ? I say only 100 because last season we got severly laughed at for taking something in the region of 67 ? and I would imagine things aint improved much this season ! So yeah ok thats just over 3 Grand beween lets say 11 ( No subs ! ) Roughly £300 each ! Nice gesture you say !!!! Drop in the ocean springs to mind here ! Bit different really that one. Their managers departure was imminent unfortunately ours isn’t ! Also they moved on investor wise, whereas unfortunately we haven’t !
In fact if they like substandard non league football that much why dont they go watching the nearest half decent non league team. I suggest Leigh Genesis because most of them probably like the band Genesis anyhow !
Jeff you used to buy that drivel of a magazine that they peddle outside ground on match days so you cant really call em !! But yeah you are right, the university educated ,real ale drinking elitist shafts are so far up their backsides I doubt they will ever see the light of day again ! The Chelsea win pales into insignificance with the 4 drubbings we have had in the league. Include the Blackpool drubbing and it is but a distant memory !
Ya shudda gone to Blackpool then you would have had the full set of humiliation fixtures ! Get yourself to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge ! They should be total debacles ! Oh and Liverpool are in need of a confidence boost so they should hammer us as well !
Hammered 4-1 against Blackpool , 4-0 against Arsenal and Portsmouth respectively and hammered 5-0 against Man Utd and now 9-1 against Spurs ! Well I am sorry but I dont care what anyone says we are in big trouble. Ok Man Utd Arsenal and Spurs are quality sides but to roll over in the fashion we have is a joke ! Add to that the substandard quality of Blackpool and Portsmouth and it puts things into perspective. We cant keep harping on about beating Villa and Chelsea. We have no strikers and a minus 17 goal diff now try and tell me that we are not heading for the relegation zone rapidly !
