    Isn’t it his birthday too?

The celebrities aren’t exactly household names.
In fact I’ve only heard of Calum Best, and him only because of his Dad.

    Ref robbed us again.

He disallowed their goal right at the death.
    I don’t think that’s robbing us tbh.

No matter the outcome of our season we should start next season with a new one.

The irony of course is that he is a good League One manager, and just the sort of manager we would be looking for if we go down and get rid of him.
The really hard decision to make would be getting rid of him if we get back into the Championship. Hard to do if he gives a promotion.
    Something of a Catch-22 situation.

Be clear on what I am saying – the referee was awful last night.

But we are very ill-disciplined. Whether Chey should have been a bit more cautious when on a yellow, the fact remains that when he was sent off we lost our heads. And none more-so than the manager.

At a time when we need cool heads we lose our rag, dive in recklessly, argue, all of which sets a referee against us, even subconsciously. And the thing becomes self-perpetuating.

Cook needs to take a long hard look at his own behaviours, and he needs to instil in the players a steely calm, even Germanic, ruthlessness of being able (a) to turn things around when they are going badly, and (b) to stay focussed when we are ahead.

Agreed Roy. Garner is our only actual goal scorer IMO

Not while Chey is around. :D

    So you don’t actually know?
    You are guessing.

For a start this is about Italian federation rules, not ours.
And who knows why they needed more tests?
Maybe there was something that showed up that they needed to clear first?

    Truth is,

AC changed the terms of payments on the last minute. They wanted to pay a very small amount up front then spread the rest over a far longer period. They decided this at the very last minute thinking they had us by the short and curlies.

This was all about FFP headljnes:
“Big club fails to screw small club”

Theres only one I feel sorry for, the player. I can only think there could have been a workaround. DW would have it ironed out in no time.
Robinson wouldn’t have even got on the plane without something in writing.
Who’s doing our negotiating? Dick & Dom ? might as well be

    You know this how exactly?
You were there during the negotiations, or you’ve read someone on Twitter’s speculation.
Never mind the truth, or that AC are trying even in your scenario to screw us over.
    Let’s criticise Latics.

Actually – this is what is being reported on BBC:

“The USA international underwent a medical examination with AC Milan, though further medical tests with the Italian authorities were required, which were subject to a 72-hour deadline.

As such, the deal could not be formally ratified before the 8pm Italian Transfer Deadline on Friday.”

if its down to Wigan that’s bang out of order

    Hang on.
If it didn’t suit us and AC were trying one on, then how’s it bang out of order if we’ve stood up for ourselves?
Everyone is moaning that Cook got too good a deal from Sharpy, but when the club do actually stand up for itself then apparently it’s “bang out of order”?
I can fully imagine AC thinking we would roll over and accept anything.
Well done the club, I say.
