I have stated on other posts that the coaching staff are 2nd rate at best and that Martinez being a rookie himself is in dire need of help.
Whether he has been offered proper back room staff or whether he would take it if offered I am not sure.
C’mon Mr Whelan its decision time, are you still interested in Wigan Athletic?if he wasnt intrested why would he pay the clubs debts off
In the hope that he can find a buyer I would suspect.

C’mon Mr Whelan its decision time, are you still interested in Wigan Athletic? No he’s not thats why I believe Bob is still here. Plus the fact he would have to pay Bob off if he sacked him and having just given him a pay rise and a new contract. I’d go as far as to say Fergie is in more danger
Yeah right, like whelans worried about paying people off
I would imagine that Bob with his new contract would be on quite a good screw so it would cost whelan millions to get rid. Can you see the old fart parting with millions cause I can’t.
I was hoping for 3 points against QPR and what do they do??? they go and sack Warnock!!! Barstewards thats no points in the next three then :(
Martinez for Barca ha ha ha
Late 1990’s early 2000’s …Wigan Athletic in the Premier league ha, ha, ha!
jr what planet are you on??? the team is worse now than when he came his signings are crap and he is tactically inept. All the criteria Barcelona will be looking for in their next coach, NOT!!!!
Well, both Toures missing from Shitty and now Kompany suspended. I’m slightly more confident, though probably not confident enough to predict any points.
Kompany will have his red rescinded and besides they would beat us with their reserve side ! Call me a doom and gloom merchant but I don’t think we will get any points from the next 3 games !!
Disclaimer.. I hope we get 9 points !! :)
I seem to remember us all saying that about the Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U games. However, we got 2 points and that run of three games is much tougher than the next run of three.
Hope they prove me wrong but I won’t be betting on it.

I have followed this board for quite some time but have never joined in partly because of my inadequate 1 finger typing skills.I have finally taken the plunge mainly because of my beloved clubs precarious plight.I dont wish to be labelled dark/light sider but anyone who believes a drop to the championship would be beneficial should be sectioned under the 1974 mental health act !!I will not ramble on about the financial implications as im sure we all know this ,but just look at all those clubs with larger support crawling all over each other to get where we are.I hope we never have to find out but i fear we could vanish off the radar should we be relegated ,a pessemistic but wholly possible senario. As far as the on field performances during Robertos tenure go then a blunt summary would be abysmal.Statistics tell the story and if you want to manipulate these to defend him then that is your perogative.116 teams in all 4 divs and conference last season only brum scored less goals ,and as we stand the problem has not been addressed now the 116th lowest scoring team. Now before certain posters talk lack of funds i think you’ll find Scotland, bosselli, sammon,di santo, add up to a tidy sum with a combined stike rate of about 1 in 10 as for rodellega not quick, lightweight, disappears during games and poor finisher.Martinez is trying to get us playing like barcelona well im afraid you need barcelonas players for that .He is trying to play a style a football that is not productive with the crap he has brought in …Turd/Polish comes to mind.We overplay, pass it around in lovely triangles then nothing. He has continued to tell us how much possession we have and how we didnt get what we deserved, well we got exactly what we deserved . Arsenal at the end last season lost 2 away games at stoke and Bolton after having over 70% possession ,converting this into goals is the trick. Can anyone honestly say that Moses, habsi apart the rest have been anywhere near the standard required.League results 8-0,9-1…5-0’S akimbo, cup results like notts co,palace, swindon ,blackpool.I could ramble on all day quoting stat after stat the bottom line is ive had a 35 year hard slog to find this utopia and i refuse to give it up by lying down and have my belly tickled. This is now robertos team ,there can be no more sunderland ,swindons tough love is the only answer and Mr Whelan has really a simple decision to make now ……..If we are to go then i would rather it be under a new man who can galvanise us all and give us half a chance to continue confounding our numerous critics……..Thanks for reading,….coat on ..goodbye.Well done Sir a very good post but it will not go down well here. Roberto is doing a great job and we lucky to have him don’t you know
Because that’s just what we need now, isn’t it?No manager, and presumably Graeme Jones in charge over a crucial few weeks with the transfer window open.
I’m not actually saying in any way that Roberto is doing OK – there are obvious problems that need addressing. But him going now, without any clear replacement lined up (and I mean actually lined up, not just speculated on here with “he wud be gud”), would certainly seal our fate.
We need to get behind the team and the manager – calling him “sp@nish mon” and “imbecile” is not the way to do it.
There is never a good time to sack a manager but if this idiot survives another season he must be dipped in shit. One disaster after another and he’s still here!!!
I don’t think that will be resinded. Doesn’t matter whether contact was made or not, both feet were off the ground so it will be deemed a two-footed challenge.
So you think that is a red card???
Doesn’t matter whether I think that should be a red card or not, the current interpretation of the rules state that any tackle where both feet are off the ground is a red card offence.
There is no way that was a straight red card and it will be recinded.

He can send as many City players off as he likes for me!
I was hoping that, and was delighted kompany walked as he is the player that holds city together and he will be suspended next week, BUT having watched it again the card will be resinded.
I can see the the card being resinded.time they put a stop to Man Utd ,players going the ref and telling him get the card out’total disgrace time te F,A Showed sum backbone cheating barstewards.
Are we talking about the same FA who appealed Shreks 3 game England ban when everyone with eyes could see he got what he deserved???
He can send as many City players off as he likes for me!Thats true but once again a poor refereeing decision spoils a game
I am glad you answered my request for reasons to continuing supporting martinez, I only wish the person I aimed it at would have done so, I am afraid though not one of your points has any real factual basis.
Oh I’ve made a mistake then bobby hasn’t kept us up for 2 seasons, those kind words said by other managers are a figment of my imagination.
You have just proved to everyone that you are a first class numpty! goodpost
If you believe jr that one manager would not come and say nice things about another manager then it is you who is the numpty. Especially when the above mentioned manager has gifted the other managers team with a welcome 3 points
I’m sorry but that statement is the most nieve thing I’ve ever read. Managers don’t gift points believe me, for example Bobby really thought that team could have beat Swindon yesterday, it wasn’t just a case of gifting Swindon a 4th round place. SAF thought the team he put out against Blackburn at OT could have easily beaten them.
I have read many articles written by managers giving rave reviews about Bobby as a manager and coach having undertaken coaching sessions at FA Schools of excellence with him. I’m not just talking about what a manager says about the opposition manager on MOTD, after his team has just beaten theirs.
Well jr I don’t care who says what the fact of the matter is we for the best part of 3 seasons have been crap. I don’t have to listen to other peoples opinions I have seen it with my own eyes. And yesterday
Good Grief Griff, Micky, Rodallegabomb……it’s the FA cup we are talking about here. Everyone has become so accustomed to loosing that they just accept it.Oh and Micky if I’ve spelled anything wrong, I don’t want to know to be honest.
