The dark side rears its head again i see   [/qu
Would love to be positive and say Bob will do well but I just don’t see it.
Martinez was doing a cracking job at Swansea, yet everyone’s on his back now.
I think they should get off his back. Not relegated (therefore he met our aim) and I think he will progress as a manager and be good for us next season.
My belief is that great that I am having Martinez ‘7’ on the back of my latics shirt..watch out for it! :D
Not a good idea me thinks as imo he will either get sacked or we will get relegated so your shirt will be about as popular as Maurice :x :x :x
We should not be selling our best players but as we all know that is the only way we can survive. So lets sell him for serious money as he is under contract and we don’t have to sell 15-20 mill or tell them to fook off.
Heard from a few sources that it will be DW Sports. Normal home kit, black away.I pray that im completely wrong.
You’re spot on the kit will be made by DW next season. Another quality kit like this bag of shoite we wore this year.
I’m sure if the club got a good kit made by one of the big manufacturers we would sell miles more than if we persist with these pi$$ poor no mark kits.
You k now about the warchest Hindley :shock:Heard a rumour that we had one but having never seen any sign of it may be it’s just a myth
In my opinion everyone of them is replaceable just depends on how ambitious we are and wether we can find our missing war chest
Surely Ayma and Scotland would get in that team as they are both absolute shoite.
Yeah, i’d love MY team to lose as well!! (hint of sarcasm)There aren’t half some pillocks following us at the moment. 1932, do you really hate Man Utd that much to wish your own team get beat?
Do you also realise that there is potentially another £750,000 to play for??
As much as I hate the so-called top 4, there is no way i’d be hoping that my team would lose. Or are you a closet Liverpool fan???
Get a grip fella!!!
I hate United that much!!!!
I would even prefer Noblot to win the league than them glory hunting, never missed a game on the telly, Manc not bastards
Martinez is hoping to keep Sinclair and Moreno at the club next year. Just wondering why as Sinclair has rarely played and Moreno is another Jason Scotland
Sinclair looks like he has something to offer the team to be..And I have no idea why he hasn’t played more.
I think Moreno will be a hit once he settles…His ball control and touch are excellent…and he hasn’t really had a chance to score otherwise I think he would have bagged.[/quoteIn 12+ games he hasn’t had a chance!!!! Is that not worrying cause to me it suggests he does not get into the right positions and if that’s the case how will he ever score goals????
And in Sinclairs case he has only been good enough for 10 minutes all season but next season he will be ready to play cause he has really developed not playing.
Are the alarm bells ringing or is it just me :? :? :?
”Martinez has explained Scotland and Gomez were rushed into the side too quickly due to other players not being up to it”Well if Bobby says it then it must be true!!! The only problem with that being that it went completely against what he said when he signed them – Gomez in particular was going to be the creative hub of our play. Scotland would have “no problem” adapting. 4 months later he was saying he’d only ever wanted to “ease them in”.
The other problem with that statement of Bobby’s was that he wants us to believe that he thought the likes of Kapo & De Ridder would be able to do the job till he eased the others in. Well you either don’t believe him (which I don’t) or you believe him & then you would have to question what on earth gave him that belief???? These were players (who along with Koumas) had been bought & dropped by our 2 previous managers coz they weren’t good enough – did he not look at their appearance stats over that period & think that was a reason why they’d only had a handful of appearances between them?? Bearing in mind Whelan’s comments about the players left by Bruce I’m sure that at some point over the summer he would have said to him “players x, y, z, a ….. etc..) are gashI’d have more respect for Bobby if he said “some of my signings haven’t worked out” than I have when he lies to try & cover up his mistakes or when I hear him talking about how good the likes of Scotland & Gomez will be next year coz neither of them will be premier league quality players in a million years & it just leads me to question his judgement if he thinks they (along with rumours re Sinclair & Moreno) will be
“this season has been a transitional season where the players and fans have got used to the “new” Wigan that plays more attractive football than a long ball game.”
All i can say to that is that you must have been watching a different Wigan Athletic to me coz the style of football has for the vast majority of games been dire. In a very select few it has looked good admittedly but there were also games under “long ball” Bruce (for all you that slate his style of football) looked pretty feckin good too
At last someone who talks sense this season has for the most part been as you put it gash and that’s being kind.
Although people don’t like to admit it we were miles better under Steve Bruce and results and points for confirm that
29 April 2010 at 6:18 pm in reply to: Dave says we wont be throwing money around this summer…… #31226I will be but I feel there will be more empty seats next season as the novelty has all but gone now ! Obviously 3 or 4 games will attract the plastics but on the whole I would hazard a guess at an average home gate in the region of 17000 !
Last season there was huge upheval at the club, not to mention the country itself was in a recesion.
On the field Martinez was learning the job, trying to fashion a team from the scraps he’d been left with, while off it we were reactionary rather than proactive. It took until January until we began to look and act like a Premiership club.
Reading what Martinez and Whelan are saying, hearing about whats planned regarding season tickets, marketing etc., we seem to be far better prepared for the coming season.
What planet are you on???? the scraps your on about must be Hugo, Charlie, Titus, Kirkland, Figgie, Boyce, Mario the nucleous of our side.
It makes me laugh that when we win it’s Bob’s team and when we loose it’s cause of all the rubbish Steve Bruce left!!!!! Steve Bruce saved us from certain relegation in his first season then but for player sales would have taken us into Europe in his second. When he left we were alot stronger than when he arrived you should remember that.Lets see if Bob can have the same success or next season if he fails miserably will it still be Bruce’s fault?
Are you crazy? Dindane and Van den Borre are shocking to say the least, they just look good in a poor Pompey side (awaits 4-0 and Dindane scored a hattrick response)
Fair play Jamie O’Hara is good, but he’s a centre mid, I don’t think he’d be a good replacement for N’Zogbia if it’s a winger we’re looking for.
I think we need a new…
Back up keeper
Right Back
Centre Back
Right mid (or left depending on whether Charlie stays and where Bobby plans on playing Moses next year)
Attacking centre mid, or the “Gomez role”
Strikeri wouldnt say either of them 2 are shocking, Dindane is far better than scotland/ moreno so hes better than our strikers… and i thought van den borre had a good game against wigan hes belgiums no1 right back. He played very well considering he was playing allong side a bunch of reserves…. Im sure bobby will do us proud with regards too signings we’l have a young talented squad :D
Sorry but apart from the odd mistake Bob’s signings have been shoite Scotland who in goals on Sunday Bob said he would kick on next season, Gomez, Ayma, Stoichovic need I go on.
So why are you so confident????
We aren’t very good away.We aren’t very good anywhere
Anyway I would take a beating at Chelski just so United don’t win the league, hate them with a passion I do.
I read an article about the top scorers at each club and where each club would be without them. Wigan were 2nd bottom without Roda.I’m not saying we couldn’t cope without him but we haven’t got a better option. I hope he stays.
Me to, as we will find it hard to replace him as imo Scotland and Moreno wont do.
Midfield – Thomas and Scharner can’t get in
And we should change the locks to make sure it stays that way ;)
what about Gomez ?
For me has to go!!!!
He is far to slow in thought and movement and in my opinion is just not up to Premier League standard.
