It’s not mediocrity we settle for it’s survival!!!!
How do you think our club would survive if we got relegated? our income would be cut by millions all our best players would be sold we would have no money for replacements our crowds would drop. I don’t even want to consider us getting relegated although if we stay up a trip to Wembley wouldn’t go a miss.
Doesn’t seem to long ago that everyone laughed at Chelsea when a Russian billionaire bought them. Never be a big club, never win anything you can’t just buy success.
Absolute rubbish!!!! City with the money there owners have will win the Premiership within 5 years. And as for there support the band wagon is growing.

I’m not getting to excited as we usually have nothing to get excited about. Bob may know who he wants but wether the funds are available for those players god knows.
I expect us to sell our best players and sign rubbish and make a nice profit in the transfer window. Hope i’m wrong but I wouldn’t bet on it!!!!
he is cack at bossing the penalty box and defenders. He gets blocked and rarely reaches the ball for corners or crosses and in a physical 1 on 1 he always comes off 2nd best.Great at shot stopping but I would prefer someone who doesnt flinch when faced with a forward racing for the ball.

I loved Filan he was superb for us but to say he was better than Kirkland is utter rubbish.

Owd on a bit Hindley Blue,£50million wage bill were,s that figure come from!. :roll:Being in the Premiership we get about £40m then you get money for being on T.V. increased sponsorship, corporate and all the other trappings that come with top flight football. Also we have to take into account all the money we make from player sales which is huge.
When the break down of all Premier League clubs finances was done nearly 90% of our income went on wages so do the math!!!!!!!
At the fans forum a few weeks ago martinez stated that we were short of numbers in our squad, now I read this.

Why not? in saying what he has said he makes himself look a right prat because we all know Whelan will sell any player if the money in his opinion is right ask Steve Bruce!!!!!!!!!
Just read all the posts regarding Scharner and I agree that 3M for a player out of contract in the Summer is good money. But why are we going back to Swansea for another player? has Bob not bought enough shite from there?
Everything Whelan does and before I get crucified we owe him alot for having a club and being in the Prem reaks of doing it on the cheap. Bob was quoted as saying we don’t need to sell yet we are going to loose 2 of our better players. And we will replace them with a cheaper option and Big Dave will make a profit in the transfer window as he always has.
I have watched Wigan from Non league all the way to the Premiership but the way the club is run now is bollocks. We will never be the biggest club but keep selling our best players is not going to put bums on seats in fact our crowds are dropping every year. All the Whelan fans are going to have a field day with this I can hear them now we have to sell to survive our crowds are not big enough but running the club like this is never going to increase our fan base.
Heard alot of people asking for sinclair to play… and hes not good enough! Prime example look at the portsmouth game, ive only seen him play well once and that was at VillaHow do you know? We signed a young player from Chelsea who they are not interested in selling so they obviously think he may be ok and we have seen nothing of him. Apart from Portsmouth he has never played long enough to work up a sweat.

£50 million a year ? tha shouldn’t listen t pub talk ladWhelan has done great for the Tics but he has also done well out of us. The advertising for JJB’s from sponsorship of the stadium and shirts for 10 years for the buttons the club recieved and now the DW stadium.
