When we had a proper kit manufacturer like Adidas or Umbro we expected better quality and therefore perhaps a highish cost.

Now we have a tin pot manufacturer we have got poor quality and that is to be expected really.
What we don’t expect or deserve though is the ridiculous high cost of such poor quality garments.
Feck to selling them for half price in the future, they should be half the price they are to start with.

Is now on sale in the club shop…………..

….priced at £18.99!

For that price, it can stay in the club shop as well. No need to be so expensive. He could have it at half the price, and probably sell twice as many, as the money is going towards the new Boys club venture, he’s doing.

Also looked at the new away shirt in there. Bloody awful. Loads plucked already. Looked good on the players at PNE. Looks crap up close.

Too reet it can stay there, I’m not goin in the club shop until that egg s***e is removed.

The only thing that bugs me is when the kids do well, some c**t always comes out with, ‘the exams get easier every year’ quote.
FFS give the kids some credit, they’ll get knocked back down to earth soon enough in this country.

Wasn’t it 16? At Villa I saw alot of Martinez 16 shirts.

When Bobby played for us it was before all this poncy Premier league names and squad number malarky.
It was 1 – 11. You knew what position each player was playing by the number on his back. Thats how it should be, how stupid does it look when, for example, number 49 Smith comes on to replace number 64 Jones.
when he finished playing for us his squad number was 16 .
I consider myself well and truly corrected but, if I were to have his name and number on my shirt I would still go for the pre squad number days and go for Number 6.

Or what ever its name is. Fans boycot that stand till its name is given a latics hero name like Harry lyon, Jason Roberts, Graeme Jones. Get in the corner of the West stand. That name must be never uttered on the breath of a true blue.
Imagine Anfield with a Dixie Dean stand or Citehs council stadium having a George Best stand or the main enclosure at Old Trafford cricket ground being named The White Rose Enclosure. Imagine Paddys bar at Ibrox or the Union Flag Flying over Celtic Park (it should). What about the Tangerine Bar at Deepdale or an Alan Shearer stand at Turf Moor.
This could only happen at Latics. At a time when we are finally not the underdogs in our part of Lancashire. When we were the underdogs that vermin club would have gladly and arrogantly ground us in to the ground. Get out of that stand now and remember the insults and mockery. Never forget and let them know on any occasion that we are top dogs now.
Actually the Wigan cycling club stand has quite a nice ring to it.

why should i consider moving from a seat where i have had for years, with a good view and good people around me just because it is called the b….. or whatever get real and sort your life out.
Bob, to some people folowing a team means more than getting a good view of the game, when you you have bean there from the days of matlock, frickley and the likes, being the best none league team in the country year after year but constantly being voted against in the elections to gain entry to the football league.
when you stuck by youre club with a couple of thousand other TRUE suppoters at the bottom of the football league with Kenny Swain as manager, When you chucked youre change into buckets to pay players wages, when you are staring bankruptcy right in the face and you still have the loyalty and passion to stand by them when the rest of the towns football fans ‘support’ yoonited,Liverpool,Blackburn. Then we get what at the time was arguably the biggest game of our history at the time against leads united in the latter stages of the FA cup and ask the local RL club for a bit of help, They basically tell us to get WRLFC. Then when we reach the freight rover final Maurice lyndsey decides to mock us on national TV instead of being humble it quite rightly yellow water theese people off, not to mention the ribbing we used to take for supporting a WRLFC little club when the rugby (being the only profesional club) Were going to wemberley every year, and boy did they let us Know about it. Now to have a stand in OUR stadium named after one of there legends with Lyndsey is unbelievable, but to be told to grow up by new followers of the club who dont have a clue what it was like in them days and dont know what it means to truely support a club yellow water theese people off, you nead to understand. end of rant
Should have signed last week, then Whelan announces he will be signed Monday, then Tuesday, then this week which is fast running out. If 1 signing takes this long, we can forget a couple more.

Do you ever have anything positive to say about anything. Or is it being so miserable that keeps you so happy.

I wonder what the wage bill is? Say 20 players earning on average 20,000 a week, thats 21 million gone already in a year!

For arguments sake double what you have said take off another £13M for back room/ground staff etc and that would still leave £20M in the coffers.
