As if everyone on here doesn’t realise the powers that be don’t read the shit on here.?_ We all love Latics on here and don’t need igronant arrogant pricks telling us what we should or shouldn’t post. Leyland Fillmoss Horc Lostock etc post here to get a rant out of their system and do not need ignorant arrogant pricks putting them down for having an opinion and somewhere to voice that opinion.
Well said, however, pathological narcissism cannot be cured.
Heel not know what you are talking bout! But that’s just like Mutty to open his big mouth and put his foot in it.
We’re talking professional footballers here. That sign would be far to long to even attempt to occupy their limited attention span.Hmmmm! You make a fair point there Sammy. Maybe we should design a new form of hieroglyph just for the ‘professional footballer’ – as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
My point about him ‘maybe’ not having the man management skills to appease every player still stands – regardless of his perceived tough exterior.
Rosler needs to have a sign printed for the training ground “No More Mr Nice Guy”
How do you know he’s Mr Nice Guy. I’ve heard from a very creditable source (aren’t they all) that he’s not all that nice!
OK – how about a sign that says:
“Look, I know I’m not nice and probably not liked by all of you (because a creditable someone has let the cat out of the bag) but you are all going to do it my way or you can lump it back in the development team where I hear they are even more wicked – so my source tells me”
Then they may start to listen to him – there, that should do it.
There has been a lot said about the team being the ‘strongest on paper’, ‘best in this division’ etc and the managers failure to realise a plan A (or B ). However, I think that the problem could be in his man management technique.
We do have a lot of talented players at our disposal and there have been those on here who have offered insightful options for who and how we play those players, but, is Rosler the man to make those tough team selections? Is he rotating the squad because he fears some of the player reactions (trying to be friends instead of a boss)? To be honest I am surprised Mr Whelan has not been into the dressing room to have a “quiet word” with his playing staff as there would be no love lost there and they would know exactly where they stood.
Yes we were outplayed last night, bullied and sometimes tactically inept in parts but I tend to agree with those who put the responsibility on Rosler – there were times when I actually questioned whether the players had trained together (especially when Malloney and Delort went to kick the same ball, and no it was not just a language barrier).

This one up front malarky has ruined many players at Wigan over the years, surely Rosler can see now we need to play two up front. He played twoup front against Birmingham with Riera and MaManaman and we won 4-0.
For some reason tonight he reverted back to one up front and we were shite, probably worse than anything under Coyle for 80mins.
Once he put an extra striker on we started to look something like, and could have actually won it in the end with the chances we created. It would have been undeserved admittedly, but we could have snatched it.
Vier, vier, zwei as they say in Germany!!!
Heard some wag shout this at the game last night – made me chuckle.
Yep them and Burnley both went up playing 4 4 2.It appears you don’t get out of this league playing pretty tippy tappy football.
Ipswich were tactically brilliant last night. Close down our centre halves and stop the ball being passed into midfield. It worked perfectly,Carson probably had the ball more than anyone and our midfield contributed bugger all.
Rosler needs to sort us out and quickly.
If he can ……………………………
That’s a spot on observation. Had you included the, ever so predictable, “McCarthy rough-em-up” tactics you would have described their plan to a tee – and it worked.
An much improved performance the first goal was classic counter attack goalI agree that it was a good counter attacking goal, but I still think it was a below par performance from a below par team.
I know the world cup is behind us but I am still not excited about this England team, and had we been in any other group I would not have expected us to qualify.
Rooney is a mistake as a captain – it looks like it was given to him because he’s been here the longest. He, to me, shows no leadership skills, is not vocal enough and can still ‘lose it’ if it’s not going his way – poor temperament.
When I look back on that game last night, there were far too many mistakes (over/under passing, ball into space with no runners, over excitable kids) and I fear that we are a few years away from being contenders on the European or World stage.
As you are all aware i am of the firm belief that Whelan is ONLY in it for the money. And i stand by that view
You are entitled to that opinion Yosser, but unfortunately your opinion is wrong. There’s not even any debate about it. It’s there in black and white for all to see, and even a bit of fag-packet workings out prove it.
What Whelan has got from the club is the one thing he loves more than money: fame and the opportunity to appear on TV at the drop of a hat.
Without Wigan Athletic he’d be virtually unknown outside the borough of Wigan.
Isn’t that two things SW – oh! and the FA Cup win (three things really).
But I totally agree with you on this.
If anyone is still doubting whether the powers that be at WAFC don’t care and are willing to let this great club of ours slip down the leagues, then, after this deadline day all their worries should have faded away.
Adam Forshaw, Andy Delort, William Kvist and now Emwr Huws signing permanently.
Excellent business and well done to Dave Whelan, The CEO and Uwe Rosler. Exciting times ahead. No mention of McArthur going for 7mill and paying for all this though? Excellent business if it comes off and I’ll doff the cap if we go up this season. Once again net spend nil.
Of them all I think Delort looks like a goal sniffer, evil little git that we need. Whether he’ll play him with Riera is another matter.
As far as I know, we kept Ramis, which is our best bit of business.
Not only that Tez, I also think that it has been shrewd business bringing in the other young players, regardless of competition. We all know that we like to nurture our young stars and I can see us making a decent profit on all three (Delort, Huws and Forshaw) when the time comes to sell them – which is inevitable of course (and proper progression for the players).
Really looking forward to the rest of the season, however, it is up to Uwe how he manages the players and his match day line-ups, let’s hope he gets the right mix.
Can’t say I’ve heard of him before today…Uwe no doubt has been watching him…His brother Oliver was very greedy..so there’s hope yet for an end to the goal famine :woohoo:
What the Dickens does his brother have to do with it?
i know an old chap who knows whelan very well and said he really wants to sell the club and he wont invest any of his or grandsons money in it any more, he will just take what he can from it when they sell players, maybe it is time for a new investor with money and ambitionThis old chap you know, is he the uncle of the tea lady’s grand daughters best friend’s cousins’ chiropodist – cos if it is then I know him too.
He suffers from dementia.

What has his personal text messages got to do with anyone else ? Leave the guy alone. Next, we’ll we castigated for even thinking any non PC thoughts !!! There are far to my ” ass licking do gooders” ruining this country !!! Speak up and let’s put the great back into Britain !!!
And we now see the real reason all these immigrants favour these shores. It is not for the Oh so generous benefits system (indeed they can get just as much on Continental Europe). It is because of the very high racial tolerance levels imposed upon us by these left wing, pinko, teeth sucking, hand wringing plebeians who have taken God and Christianity out of our Great Country and mock us with their multi-cultural idealism. The swathes of ethnic ‘no-go’ areas across this country increases daily – yet to speak out brings cries of ‘Racist’ and ‘Bigot’. The Germans and the French certainly do not tolerate this in their countries and one has even gone as far as banning the burqa.
Free Speech and National Identity is now officially dead, and Malky is yet another casualty of this unspeakable, overpowering minority thought police. I fear for our children and grandchildren – I honestly do.
Christianity in this country is a myth brought out and used in anti whatever religion rants like this, 90% of White British people have NO religion and certainly don’t give a frig about god.
Look at the attendances across Britain this weekend at football matches alone then look how many “Christians” are in church tomorrow, football is a bigger religion by far.
edit
Just for your benefit, did you know that the overwhelming majority of “these immigrants favouring these shores” are WHITE CHRISTIANS coming from eastern Europe, but I suppose that does not fit in with your anti Muslim rant.
I don’t give a flyer about your jack shit opinion and made up statistics in your crusade to become top troll- even those on the other board share the same view of you as a person and commentator.
Christianity is a myth? Spoken like a true atheist – I suppose you are a Republican as well so as to not recognise the Queen as head of the Church of England.
As for your Eastern European analogy I was speaking of the swathes of people with African and Middle Eastern personage who sail in dingy’s, chance life in lorries and make their way to the French ports in order to get into this country so spare me the contrived benefit of your wisdom again I’d rather take lessons from a turd.
Football the new religion eh? Pal, you’re an arsehole, and a large one at that. Maybe you should let that do your thinking before putting words to print – at least the bog would be listening to you.
I stand by what I said, and if you are one of the left wing, hand wringing, soft headed, pinko plebs that I talked about then I pity you.
Look, I’ve said all this without the need to capitalise any words. Try it sometime, however, it wont make you anymore appealing,
