Charlie for me.
isn’t their something fundamentally wrong when a clubs best player is
totally disillusioned with the club and wants out ?
Big time!I’d also like to give a special mention to the owners of Portsmouth and Owen Coyle.
Both have left their clubs in the brown stuff and meant that the rest of the clubs are trying to avoid just the one remaining relegation place.
Why Owen Coyle? Burnley aren’t down yet.
Also no there isn’t something fundamentally wrong. makes perfect sense. He wants out… BECAUSE he is clearly our best player!
I might be going on my own, now you’re getting it James £30 = 1 Wigan fan, a £50 family ticket = 4 Wigan fans getting behind the team and filling our empty stadium.Dave Whelan has much more business know how than me though, so I have to accept the price or not go.
You think they should do a family ticket deal?
A season ticket costs £250 works out at £13 odd a match the walk ons on Monday have to pay close on £30 and kids who dont have a season ticket £20 that is why you will not get many walk ons on Monday
There were cheaper season tickets than that weren’t there?
Only youth and student probably.
@ Thtytwoyears – Well maybe the price of tickets/ Season tickets will get more people to purchase season tickets? And also @Thtytwoyears… No, I didn’t get a kids or student. As im not U19 neither am I a student. Arse
ManUtd get 60k a week
They will do wont they when they are going for trophys every season plus a bigger fan base than we have think about lad
Dont know why you posted that. It doesn’t back your argument up. You were saying it was expensive at the DW, but compared to utd etc it’s cheap. The games at the dw are affordable. Just because Man Utd are pushing for trophies every year doesn’t mean that people miraculously have a bigger income. They probably have the same income as the average person, and pay to watch utd, which is a lot dearer than watching Wigan. We can’t complain about the price. LAD
It is easily affordable to a single lad and in comparison to other clubs it’s very good value, in reality though for me to take my wife and two kids it would be £100 – or I can stay home and watch it on ESPN which I’m subscribed to, thus keeping £100 in my pocket to spend on an alternative hour and a half’s entertainment.
We can’t complain about the price in some ways James but many will simply choose not to go !
See Birmingham, Sunderland and even Fulham attendances to see if price really matters.
Dont go with the wife and kids. Go on your own. Or people can pay for themselves, therefore you will be paying the 30 quid for the ticket (and pay for kids of course). Or don’t take kids?
I’m not saying the prices are dear lad i’m just saying we dont have the fan base to fill the stadium plus it’s on tv plus my mate wanted to take his kid it would of cost him nearly £50 .understand the fact their ladI know BUT it is cheap to be fair. Because they have a bigger fan base, it doesn’t mean people find it more affordable and doesn’t mean their fans have more money, but people still go. So people still should when the prices are at a good rate like they are for Wigan. Tell ya mate open his wallet and stop being a tight-wad
No, just been going longer than some James.
PS Is that your best Frankie Howard impersonation? You probably have been going longer than me, if that’s what you’re getting at, as I am only 20 years of age and you are probably quite older. Well done for being older, give yourself a pat on the back.
Also… don’t know who Frankie Howard is.
Well you should do, you seem to like comedians.
Why do I seem to like comedians. Please elaborate. Seems to make no sense.
I suppose because Man Utd have a bigger fanbase… people who support them have more money?. Your post made absolutely no sense and has just got me thinking that you are trying to argue for arguments sake.

Just one point. The ticket prices aren’t ‘Expensive’ or ‘Shocking’. Actually they are cheap, why do you people ever complain about the ticket prices really? Just something to moan about?
They might not be expensive when your paying £30 a week to your mum and dad for keep ,try paying it when forking out for a mortgage and bills on top as well.
The point still stands.. Man utd get 60k plus a week at them prices. It is affordable, and in comparison, our stadium is cheap.
Now i have said more than once on this site that i will not judge bobby this season, one of the reasons being he stated he needed 3 transfer windows, now with what he has said about certain players spudhead had left us with (kapo,de ridder just to name 2)he needs more time to build the squad because on paper these players are capable of playing prem football but arnt.Theres been some real tosh spouted on here by fans(reluctant to call you that, bobs words so you know what he thinks of you).I think bob will turn it round, and anybody who as read his book will know he his a very clever man were football is concerned. It is now starting to turn into a witch hunt now with the booing and no doubt the next step will be chanting for his head.Get behind bob and support him and what he his trying to do fo us he has a real love for this club so give him the time he needs and support him and i am sure we will reap the rewardsFinally… A good post. Amen!!!
Bit of a pointless post to be fair Blueview. It isn’t really a metter of opinion… N’Zogbia HAS been our best player.
Totally agree, I wonder how these people can call themselves SUPPORTERS…. surely there is a clue in the term.
Supporters don’t turn up at games and abuse the very staff that they proclaim to support.
Wasn’t Wenger, Fergusen (and even Bobby at Swansea) getting greif from their respective supporters because of bad/indifferent starts to their carrers at Manchester and arsenal, bith of these are veterans now.
I am lucky (or not dependant on how you look at it) that I went through the really bad times at Latics, so this is nothing compared to those days, there are a lot of people out there that need a very big reality check….
I just wonder what these same people will be like when/if we stay up… and more to the point whether they will be there next season whatever the division….
I do call myself a proper supporter Jay, I’ve watched us thru all 4 divisions, and can still remember how numb I felt when Philpotts took us down in our only relegation. Ten times worse than the Gillingham defeat at Wembley. How we thought we would bounce back, how the crowds dropped, then the Swain era.
Don’t kid yourself that people who don’t have any confidence in Martinez are JCL’s who will crawl back into the woodwork if we go down. I didn’t last time and I won’t if we go down again. It’s the rough with the smooth, but if we can prolong the smooth, lets do it. A lot of people draw comparisons between Jewell and Martinez, but if memory serves me right, didn’t Colin Lee get brought in to help Jewell during his rough patch? I don’t want to sound “Hysterical” as owd git calls it, but let’s not behave like lemmings either.
Ooooohhh Callmeishmeil… Aren’t you a superfan ;)
All this ‘Easing players in’ shoite is rubbish! The lad will want it against Liverpool, to make a name, and if Martinez really is impressed, there is all the right ingredients for a Moses start. Can’t be worse than J Scotland.
How can he be impressed? He’s hardly seen him play!
