Millwalls game plan was clear from the off. Defend from the front and don’t give our defenders anytime on the ball which did unsettle us.
But the lads were magnificent and made up with a point. It’s definitely been a good transfer window, but best ever? Paul Jewell had a couple that could better these, but suppose time will tell!
Should have said Cue, form an orderly one!
GC has picked up the most points in Feb so should get it (queue losing streak). There is only Barnsley & Scunthorpe who can compare, and they have both lost one.
to say 3-0 flattered Bury would be the biggest understatement ever , should have been seven at least.
They were totally outclassed by a team that looks nailed on for automatic promotion.
Jussie the man of the match for those incredible saves shortly before half time but nothing or nobody to complain about this afternoon.
Four points clear of 3 rd spot and on the heels of boring Burton with them still to play.
Can anyone stop us ?And that is what we must not believe, complacency! Sure GC will make sure that doesn’t happen. If GC keeps this going then we could be top by mid March :)
a strangely enjoyable read Rich :)
Football away days are very addictive, well, when you win anyway! After the match some Walsall fans were complaining how bad the ref was towards them as well. It aint just us..
Saw the game mate, gotta give it to Phil Brown and Southend tonight they got it bob on.
Nice to see Paul Tierney (Ref) again, come along way that lad, he was cutting hair a couple of years ago, good lad Paul.Anyroad game on at the top, looking forward to the next couple of months!
I’m pretty sure he still has his barber shop. Think it would go if he gets prem status though.
Bury could be a hiccup for us, we can’t seem to beat them tosspots..
But then again, we have improved immensely since last playing them last!Superb win yesterday, if we follow it up with a win on Saturday. Not sure what we want from the Burton and Walsall game though.Burton have got some tough fixtures from now til end of March. Starting with Southend tomorrow. They will probably beat Walsall as they try to play attacking style. Burton play the counter attacking style.
Two good footballing teams yesterday JR, and thought it was going to be a tight affair beforehand. Thought first half we looked very comfortable, much the better team. Second half they stepped up a gear and at times we couldn’t seem to get out of our half. But we did defend well & good for the 3 points.
Totally agree about Morsy & Colclough, two great prospects IMO. Colclough’s approach play is great, just needs to show a little more composure in & around the box.
Game of two half’s today, we had the first and I thought they had the second. Great win at one of our rivals for automatic  Only away win in League one today!
Great celebrations when Yanics goal went in. How many invaded the pitch….
The Millwall game is building up to be a massive game if they keep winning.
Here you go……!
The Sale of Central Park
Thats a good reminder Sammy, Whelan definitely saved them. Recall Whelan saying he would never do business with Tom Rathbone again. That bloke was looking out for himself and not the rugby club!
I’d no idea he was ill… No place for rivalry comments at times like this.
Looked like two different teams today us, first half a bit drab and cautious, brill second half really went for it, happy with 2-0 but could have been better if cocky Grigg had scored the third :lol:McAleney looked lively lets hope he keeps that up, surprised Wabara didn’t start though been well impressed with him.
Just hope our pitch is reet for next week!
Pretty good assessment, but the pitch is a concern and could affect our football. Will be foo k ed by end of Feb for sure.
Along with Second best defensive record & third highest scorers….. Walsall away could see us move into second spot???
Was impressed with McAleney today, looks a good prospect.
