I agree he looked calm, and managed to keep his concentration between the odd Forest attack. Good penalty save too!
Managers of 3 Championship teams seem to disagree with you. Mr Joyce too, as he plays every week.
To all the people with negative comments :
You are expecting perfection and it doesn’t happen with any team not even at Barca when they were in their pomp.
Yesterday players made individual mistakes and they did their utmost to recover the situation. We aren’t world beaters for sure, but if the players can add another layer of fitness, then they can achieve safety easily this season. We need to give the players a break, and not be on their backs every time the drop a clanger.
Get real guys !!!
My opinion for what its worth…….
When Grigg came on on Saturday, Wildschut came into the game more. I thought Grigg gave the midfield an “out” that wasn’t there before. His recycling of possession often with just a single touch allowed Wigan to really build pressure on Derby. The team is definitely better and more balanced with him in it. I really hope he isn’t on his way in January
TBH I wish I’d been that shit at football B) B)
No thanks !
Grigg & LeFondre
That 2 words and a punctuation mark, maybe?
The performance was nervy, but it certainly wasn’t shit
But £27 quid for a ticket, why would anyone pay that?
Season tickets work out at £8.68 a game, if you backed the team last season it works out at £7.78 a game.
Good judgement all round, me thinks
I couldn’t agree more. A defender who was prepared to fight for the cause, big loss, but Im sure we have someone who do the same
So he had a ratio of 2.26 games per goal at Norwich, and a ratio of 5.66 games per goal with us. Clearly he has still got it !
Not even in the lower leagues :)
He clearly had an ability to score goals, and then he joined Wigan, and did sod all. I was so excited when he signed, thought he’d score 20-25 in that championship season. How wrong was I? I understand he had a good loan spell at Huddersfield, but how many goals did he actually score there? I don’t believe he reached his previous levels. He is clearly past his best as a goal scorer. Goodbye !
It doesn’t matter who was worse than who!
The bottom line is that Grant Holt has been an expensive luxury, that for what ever reason has not scored anything like the number of goals we all hoped for when he signed. Time for him to move on.
It wasnt me that brought up Sheffield
I believe they meant Sheffield Eagles victory over Wigan in the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final in 1998
I agree Donovan saved the point on 3 or 4 occasions. The MOM for me was our left back Reece James. I think he was nothing short of awesome. I cannot believe that we’ve managed to sign him.
