And congratulations, LostockHallLatic.
Your thread is now six months old, and still going strong!
And for the trillionth time, he didn’t say that Bob would get um in the bottom four, his phrase was “wrong end of the table”. Read the first post again FFS.
The “bottom four” bob was the nickname Martinez was given by some posters on here, cos that’s where he had us for most of his tenure. Just like you are known by many as “thick as pigshyte” Barnsley. :P
PS; lying 7th in the table at the moment Everton are 3 places from a champions league place and 4 places from a bottom half place. mmmmm velly interlesting.

What a journey!I think Rosler should stick with the threesome Beau, Roger and McClean down the left hand side, at times they look unplayable.
Speaking about McClean, I’m selling my house and the skirting board and door frames are a bit scuffed and chipped. My mate said put a bit of toothpaste on them and they will look like new.
Thanks a lot pal, the red and blue stripes make the scuffs and chips look twice as fekin bad as they did.

What a journey!McClean and Beausejour were sensational in the first half. Beausejour had a real understanding with Maloney, and has found another with McClean.Rosler seems to like Beausejour and is very patient with McClean. Unlike some of our fans.
I hope we see more of McEachran, but does anybody know why he went off? Perhaps he wasn’t making enough forward passes.
I think that the news filtering through about Watson may have forced Rosler to take the lad off and put him in cotton wool till Saturday. :woohoo:

What a journey!I had Waghorn to score first goal and Wigan to win 2-0 at 22/1. :(

What a journey!I thought that Saturday was a good example of how standing and sitting can be accommodated.
The middle sections of the away end were all seated. The standers made their way to both sides and stood to their heart’s content.
There were signs everywhere stating this is an all seater stadium and fans must be seated for the duration of the game, but the stewards to their credit let the arrangement go and everyone was happy. :)
I suppose this will only work if it is unreserved seating or the stewards don’t insist that you sit in your allocated seat.

What a journey!Besides, the ridiculous comments fill up the empty space. If you take them all away, there isn’t a lot of conversation left.
I’m sure someone could tell me formation we employed at Huddersfield. Was it 4-4-2 this week, something like this?
Al-Habsi
Perch Boyce Barnett Crainey
McArthur Watson Gómez Beausejour
Waghorn FortunéYes sort of, but Waghorn was deployed wide right for most of the first half and surprisingly Jimmy Mac seemed to play in the hole. Gomez who for me was MOTM again, seemed to have a roving role.
I would deffo not play Gomez and Watson in the same team, it needs to be one of them plus Chris Mac. The nod from me would be Gomez at the moment, he seems more consistent than Watson. Once the lad from Chelsea is fully match fit he may be pushing for that creative role.
I saw enough from Waghorn to think he may come good, by far the better prospect than Maynard.
When Powell is fit it will be interesting to see where Rosler plays him.

What a journey!…as Paul Jewell once said to me
Clang![/quote]
Ooooops, let that one slip out and there was only me, Paul and the chamber maid who was privy to this information. :P

What a journey!According to Rosler it was our best performance so far even tho we lost…. well I must have watched a different game today because we looked unbalanced and at times like a team that hasn’t played together.
defence was wobbly with crainey having an awful game. Boyce plays better at right back and so we were not at our best in defence. can’t believe Rosler took Gomez off and brought McCann on. It should have been the young lad mceachran or even McLean and drop crainey.
A word of advice to Rosler….Coyle tried to bullshit the fans when we played bad and we didn’t take kind to it…….I thought it was one of our best away performances this season, despite the defeat. Huddersfield are a team of young lively players who played the conditions well today. We created numerous chances and really should have put at least 2 or 3 of them away, especially the far post disaster by Waghorn and whoever, trying to beat one another to put the ball in the net.
I don’t like losing and if we deserved it I hold my hands up and say so, we definitely didn’t deserve to lose today in what was bleedin awful conditions.
I am of the opinion like many others that Rosler is dabbling with the team too much, however as Paul Jewell once said to me, the fans are great at picking the team after a game as been played. :huh:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! If there was ever a thread that proved that this web site is filled with bitter, sad, lonely balding middle aged men then this is it.
The contradictions from you ‘hardened Latics fans’ are laughable. You take the piss out of the rugby for the exact same things the football does.
Difference…. The Cherry and White board doesn’t do football hate threads because they aren’t jealous of Wigan Athletic like this board is of the Warriors.
But it was true, that’s why I had to post about it.
Go and crawl back under the stone from which you came, you have not been missed, you will not be missed and you will not change my and many others view on the stinking, fekin lodgers. One town, one team it is sunshine live with it! B)

What a journey!Been in Silverwell on Darlington St tonight [mate got married and had his do there]
We ended up in the vault cos no seats left in main room. You couldn’t make it up, there was a 60+ year old chap with an Elgren top on
The posse in there were shouting for Wigan and soon realised that there was a few tics men in. I heard one mon say at least we’ve sold out the East Stand and for christ sake there was hundreds if not thousands of empty seats.
I try my best not to lower myself to their standards but can’t help it. The ref was crap, the pitch was crap, the wind was against um in the first half and again in the second half, the players wern’t used to the new strip, if only O’loughlan had played, we are missing Sam, Wane hasn’t got a clue, that Crabtree is an animal, etc. etc. etc. fekin loved every minute. Even if they win the soup or leek, these men will still moan and not make one attempt to get to the DW.
I know we have our moaners and pub fans, but these men have a degree in it. :PFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Welcome back pal been missing you.
How do you think the lad from Brentford will fit in to Uwe’s formation?.
Seems to have scored a few in the lower leagues, hope he can adapt to the rigors of the championship. :P

What a journey! The problem we face is not the type of sport being played, its the fact that the pitch doesn’t get a two week break when the rugby season starts.
You could put Morris Dancers on there but if it’s not getting time to recover will obviously be in worse nick.
Yes the pitch will deteriorate when the rugby starts, but not necessarily due to the type of sport being played, its just the relentless use in the main in very wet conditions.
Sorry GL but I don’t agree with your theory. Rugby players do have studded boots and traditionally longer studs than the ones footballers use.
Watch when players get tackled how the tackler digs his feet into the ground in an attempt to force the tackled player back. It’s a bit like the tug of war but in reverse.
The other factor is that there are 4 more players on the field at once which is bound to have an affect, plus the weight per player is also a factor.Oh dear I can see GL getting his mortice board and gown out to calculate the relative force on the pitch bearing in mind the numbers of players, average weight of players, the variable time spent on a rugby match 80 mins factored in against the time spent on a football match, 90 mins, all multiplied by Pi. :S
So I sort of agree and disagree with comments made, but would like 110% to see the fekin tworts move to another venue, if you was to push me in a corner. :cheer:
