Teams are in the bottom 3 because they keep losing. We are several points clear of the bottom 3 because we win the odd game. With yesterday’s games as a starting point, let’s see how many games it takes for any of the current bottom 3 to reach 34 points.

What a journey!Another blank and a few chances squandered. Grigg not being able to breach the likes of Blackpool and Accy Stanley at home must be worrying for Ross and Griggs himself. As usual he put in a good shift and looked head and shoulders above that donkey Wyke who he partnered in attack.
The January window is looking like a mare for the mackems.
What do you think Mutty? From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Back to the game. I appreciate our predicament but these negative tactics that Cook has adopted of late in order to grind out the odd point here and there are soul destroying to the paying punter. Now those dull tactics may very well keep us up ( Just ) but what of next season? Because Cook will have done what was asked of him and kept us up this season, who’s to say that those mind numbing tactics won’t be applied again!
Comparing our squad to some of the teams above us I see us as having a better overall squad than quite a few of them. Take Preston for instance. More or less safe now with a squad that is nowhere near as good as ours but they seem to have a go at teams ( Remember our little trip to Deepdale! ) and have some great results under their belt this season. Yes they have had some bad results and their league position reflects that but they are pretty much safe and some might say have a long shot at a play off place! What are they doing with an inferior squad to us that we aren’t? Can you see us battering the top of the league like they did the other night! Are you deaf or daft INJURIES!
Are you daft the Knobbers lost far more of their main players than we did through injury but despite playing the same formation that we do actually play to win. Good post Filmoss.
Was that supposed to be a serious post Donny? so you think we play to lose, that fuckin takes the biscuit!

What a journey!Watched the game and couldn’t believe when he missed the target after rounding the keeper. Was wanting him to get off the mark as confidence can play havoc if you don’t get off the mark early. The mackems were booing at half time and full time, things getting nervy at the SOL.

What a journey!Okay, okay I was one with a bucket, when I say bad times I mean losing every other game, not the position we are in the football league.
No doubt some on here would have topped themselves watching us flounder under Bill Kenyon.I can understand the young fans having a moan, but looking at the user names these are older fans with obviously short memories.

What a journey! And some are the same ones quiet content to keep polishing a turd.Or to put it another way, get right behind your team during the bad times as well as the good.

What a journey! We”re simply not good enough at this level but will stay up.
Sorry, run that one by me again.
3 teams worse than us this season. That’s how we will get away with it.
Or it could be worded we are currently better than 5 teams

What a journey!England was a big National team in the previous decade, 1966.

What a journey!The facts are-
1. Sunderland are a league 1 club.
2. Have just paid 4 million on a proven league 1 striker.
3. Attendances are irrelevant to how the team performs.2. They could have paid far, far less for a proven league one striker
3. So how do Sunderland’s crowd compare to when they were playing well and holding their own in the EPL?From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Should Sunderland achieve promotion let’s see how he does next season with the right support……I think we may be revisiting this thread !!! ..Yes the money was good……no he shouldn’t have bench warmed ,neither should Macmanaman. Finally anyone who had permanent wood over Clarke after our laboured defeat of a Qpr side who could have got a draw…..need a reality check. We were bottom 5 standard and I fear these next 3 winnable games may through a spanner in the post Grigg orgasmic trance, sour grapes state some are in….At least youve moved on from bottom 3.

What a journey! And you trying to hit us with stats from 1 club about Clarke to paint a picture that we’ve signed a worldy from one club is pissible funny totally ignoring the other 21 moves and goals he scored.
Normally I’d say your wearing blinkers but I’m leaning to think you own a Labrador on a harness and a ball on stick. And you need to get your head out of a will Griggs arse. Loved the guy, didn’t want him to leave championship stats, not that good buddy.

What a journey!Let’s put this debate to bed and move on. Will Grigg championship stats, are you reading Cup Winners is played 43 scored 8. I would hazard a guess that 4 of those were penalties.
Was he given a chance, I would say yes, did he look a good championship player I hate to say it but would say no. Clarke scored 19 last season for the blades so let see how he does. An assist and goal doesn’t confirm he’ll do it for us but he looks a handful and I love those poacher’s goals gerrin in before the defender.Classic stats to suit totally ignoring the other clubs including us last time round pmsl:
Clarke has gladly adimitted himself that it was far easier to hit the net in a side like Sheffield Utd.I take it you’ve not looked at his stats from when he’s played for some of the “17” clubs he’s played for in his 20 moves….yes 20 not 2 ?.
He’s scored 1 goal or less is 11 of them and a fair few of them at a lower level than the Championship.
I hope he hits double figures for us I truly do but your stats are from 1 club who lie 3rd in the Championship when in struggling sides he’s struggled. I’m not sure if you’ve realised we have struggled lately so in turn Grigg does. Kinda hand in hand fella.1 swallow doesn’t make a summer.
I see Fox injured and Pilkington was struggling ….I suppose that’s nothing to do with age ?….na is it fook lol
Owd on a minute, this was about Will Grigg and you saying he hadn’t been given a chance in the championship. Your argument was well and truly rag dolled by his stats, the facts. End of!
