Thought it was one of his poorer games yesterday, yes ran around a lot as usual, but gave away the ball a lot more than usual and a lot of his short balls never found their man, lost a few tackles that he would normally of won. Doesn’t take away my overall opinion of him though that he is normally reliable, solid and 101% committed.
Jacobs for me didn’t do anything yesterday, James needs to do more when he cuts inside, an needs to use his right peg more – gets forward a lot but absolutely no end product, and ends up scampering back. Needs more confidence.
Every time Morgan got on the ball by heart rate increases ten fold, for a captain I don’t see him doing any shouting or organising, thought Perkins would be a much better choice IMO
Power seems to be coming on more an more every game, and does do a lot of shouting and organising, looks like a great prospect we have.
Donovan, prefer him at RWB, gives us a bit down the right hand side.
Good to see McCann has a licence to roam from the back through the midfield at times, just need to make more of those opportunities and chances when he does go forward.
Grigg – Now he is one player I just don’t know about yet. Yesterday he was on the floor more times than off it. Seems to be a bit lazy, doesn’t put enough pressure on defenders, seems to jog around rather than get stuck in. Still, if he can score the goals that get us promotion, I suppose that’s a good trade-off. Still expect a lot more from him though.
So that’s my thoughts anyway, on both yesterday and in general. Very happy with the progression we are making, especially the fight and desire to get a goal until the 96th minute
Keep it up lads. That wasn’t what I saw, he is a rock at the back, reads the game so well it doesn’t matter that he is not that quick. One of the main reasons why we are where we are in my opinion.
MOM for me yesterday was Don Love. :)From Matlock to ManU

What a journey!….or perhaps its about giving the lad some play time, knowing he is at least 3rd or 4th in the batting order for a start at No. 9.
If you had bothered to look at the reason Wolves have took him on a two month emergency loan, you would have known that they have a shed load of forwards injured. I’m not sure this loan confirms either way that he is good enough or not to play in the Championship, it ticks as big empty box that Wolves have hold of.
I’m also not sure why people think its about money, when we’ve been paying him for the best part of a year for sitting in the treatment room. :woohoo:

What a journey! What’s the difference between Grant Holt playing for Wolves and Grant Holt playing for Latics?…
He gets to sit on the bench 2 and a half hours earlier playing for Wolves.

What a journey!I reckon a three one win to Latics in front of 7953.I reckon 7953-0 to Latics in front of 31. :silly:

What a journey!“Permission to speak Mr Manwairing”
I’ll try to bring a bit of understanding to this thread.
I don’t mind one bit, being labeled bitter and twisted with respect to Martinez. Something has happened to make me feel that way, if Martinez was the manager of Lincoln city and his team knocked us out of the FA Cup, I wouldn’t like it, but by the same token I wouldn’t feel bitter and twisted towards him.
We are all human beings and react in different ways to the same situation.
For example, if I decided to play a prank on my mates one night coming home from the pub and wear a werewolf mask, hide behind a tree and jumped out shouting your all dead meat! this would probably be their reaction;
Mate no. 1 …would rush towards me and deck me.
Mate no. 2 …would run off at great pace screaming.
Mate no. 3…would say feck off John what the hell are you doing.
There is nothing right or wrong with each of their reactions, its just how they individually perceive that situation.
So IMHO, there’s no harm continuing the debate, but FFS keep it to the subject matter and not how people have reacted to the situation.
…and before anyone says it, A] yes I have got 3 mates and B] I probably wouldn’t need to wear a werewolf mask. :P

What a journey! That would be telling, what I will say it’s not who you think it is.

What a journey!I don’t really see anyone who’s agreeing with you full stop. Those who agree with me have an opinion that doesn’t count then? As each post goes by you make yourself look even dafter. Then end it with pulling a face as if that makes you right? To be honest I don’t care if anyone agrees with me or not, it’s my opinion and to be honest some folk do agree with me on some things on others they don’t. Rarely does it descend into what you do, you’re irrational.
Anyway got any tips tonight to follow on from Port Vale getting tonked by us and free money on Poland beating Scotland? Who are the Maldives playing?
Taps nose, knows his football this mon
Great post Tirranse everyone jumped in to back you I see. [tee fekin Hee]. Must be really gnawing at you having to refer to posts I made weeks ago, you sad lonely tvvat. I was wrong to back Scotland and thought after the Chesterfield game we would tonk Port Vale, nowt to be unduly worried about, but glad to see you keeping tabs on me. How did Rangers do today not seen any results since getting back from Gigg lane. Oh but its the international break, Martin Waghorn and James Tavernier will have been on international duty.

What a journey!Haha in the net you go.
You brought up Jussi a goalkeeper who has played 1 league game for us, I brought up Grant Holt who’s played more than that for us, now you want to take your ball home!Captain Crackpot or Mr Uncredible I can’t decide what your new name is.
Yipee and did you not refer to Rangers having players like Kenny Miller, who turns 36 in December??. At least goalies usually have a longer shelf life than outfield players. When you get time, lets see this man for man comparison, based on most games played in that position this season, then ask yourself a serious question, are Rangers really that good? Most posters on here who’s opinion are worth summut, disagree with you as usual:lol:

What a journey!Funily enough I just knew you would throw a rangers player in against somebody who has not played this season and most of last. Let’s stick with direcomparisons of players who are playing regular for both teams this season. You lost total credibility when comparing our performances in a few preseason friendlies when there were 8-9 changes made in the 90 mins.
