His favorite operetta
DIE FLEDERMOSS.
That’s written by Strauss.
I keep confusing him with Wolfgang Amadeus Mossart.[/quote]He used to be England captain didn’t he? A man of many talents
Yes can’t disagree. Much better performance and unlucky not to have scored given the number of chances (when was the last time we said that?)
Downside….well that’s sadly obvious.
Whilst we’re not technically down, and I won’t give up until it’s physically impossible, I think today was the end of the line. Now 7 points off safety…a minimum of 3 games.
Sorry but just can’t see us escaping from that, especially with the away games we’ve got.
Even if we can win all 4 home games left, 46 points is very unlikely to be enough..Upside…we’re going to Southend again to stand under that corrugated iron roof :woohoo:
After the Bristol result tonight nothing less than a win will do.Disastrous start to the weekend for us…and with Blackburn and Forest being finished before we start tomorrow it could be a nightmare.
Just looking at the table now. 6 points behind Forest. Said it before, but if the gap gets to 3 games minimum we’re sunk.
Whilst I’m disappointed with the result, fair play to Bristol tonight, they really went for it and got their reward. Are you watching Yootha?
Well almost every other club in the country has a “new” manager boost…surely we’ll get one this time…so 1-0 Tics.
Let’s hope it’s not an old manager sticking the boot in
Yes thanks Egg good read :cheer:
Tomorrow we must all pull together in the hope something can still be salvaged from this lorry crash of a season.
If we really go for it, we might just have a chance with the home fixtures. Villa, Barnsley and Cardiff have nothing to play for and Rotherham..well if we can’t beat them at home there really is no hope (might as well go straight to League 2 if we can’t beat them :S ).
4 wins would get us 46 points…still think we will need 50 but at least we would have a fighting chance if others slip up.
But FFS just go for it in the home games. Sooner lose 3-0 really having a go than another drab 0-0 or 0-1 sleepwalking into League 1.
Who is that manager that could get the two more wins then the two teams above us in the run in?Ideas can start here.
Just to throw it in the bag seeing he was sacked yesterday, would McClaren fit that bill?
For me yes, get McClaren in…albeit 3.5 years too late.
Sharpe has as good as admitted we’re down by putting Barrow in charge for the rest of the season
Thank God for that.
Too late probably to change the course of this debacle of a season.
Very fair and accurate article IMHO.
Let’s hope Sharpe’s reading it
Nope not oursTomorrow is another day
It was announced on here that McLaren was about to be appointed, then Coyle nipped in.
The rest is history.
Get yer Croat indeed
GO…
Identified 4 crucial games recently.
QPR, Notts F, Blackburn, Bristol C. Minimum return of 6 points…and we actually got?
1 point out of 12 against the teams around us.
The facts don’t lie
An ugly win by all accounts but who cares, a win is a win…good stuff chaps
Shame the 3 B’s all got a point.
Just makes Saturday’s game a step above a Must Win game! Win on Saturday we’ve still a real chance of staying up; lose and we’re in real sh!te, especially if the games in hand go against us.
Some frightening away games left…Newcastle, Brighton, Reading, Ipswich…some dodgy homes as well Villa, Barnsley, Leeds etc…
Is Will Grigg injured? He’s not not even on the bench!!!!He had his first barbeque of the season on Monday as it was such a nice day and overdid the lighter fuel… ;)
Tonight..well a draw is as good as it will get…another 0-0 :(
The table doesn’t lie after 35 games.
Rotherham are by far the worst team in the division. But when we played them…erm… :silly:
Can Yootha turn it round? His medical condition has I reckon given him 2 more games. He would have gone on Saturday for sure…he’s got a stay of execution until Sat 11th…
Nothing on the club website, which I would always regard as more “official” than individual comments on Twitter!
We’re still little the wiser about what’s going on.
Goes without saying, but I’m sure 99.9% of us would wish Yootha a speedy recovery on a personal level from whatever it is he’s got.
Yes the silence is disturbing and adds to the rumours about the manager’s future.
The club must be aware of all the speculation this week on here and “elsewhere”, significantly fuelled by their own announcement on Monday.
Obvioulsy we respect the manager’s privacy and no one is asking to see his medical records! With a vital game coming up and the event called off on Wednesday, it’s hardly unreasonable for people to be asking about Yootha’s well being.
So why no message from the club along the lines of “Yootha’s fine now and thanks all (5 of) his loyal followers for the get well messages/cards/flowers/grapes. He will take charge of the team on Saturday as usual and continues to enjoy the full backing of the Chairman”
