Oh dear, it’s all over.

    Couldn’t bowl Middlesex out today.

Let’s bounce back next season, straight back up.

    Or what about…

We jumped through hoops to sign him. He played FOUR times

    So you did then :-)

    I’m in T…Griff’s in W (so I believe)
I don’t know whether to be flatterd or freaked that that I appear to have yet another stalker on here. Credit where credit’s due though, you’re a better class of stalker than those knobheads, Torch, Wiganmon, LMB, etc…
That’s the nearest I’ll get to a compliment from Griff

    ”It’s not the modern way”

“No one plays 2 up front anymore…”

In this division we need goals. By the bag full.

Tactics can change 100 times over, the basics don’t….get the ball in the friggin net….

We’d been playing 2 up front till the Ipswich game.I say 5-3-2 , 2 wing backs , 3 center halfs , Delort and Reira upfront and go and get some goals for Christ sake !.

We seem to talk alot about getting the ball in the net but first, how’s about stopping the fookin ball going in ours ??, every game starts off off a draw
We had four years of the boring ‘protect the point we have’ tactics under Bob.
I could understand it to a certain extent, although it was very frustrating at times, but I suppose every point gained was a point nearer to our aim of staying in the PL.

It’s different though now, we are playing to get out of a league (hopefully upwards) and one point a game with a few wins here and there will not get us anywhere near promotion.

We also need to stop worrying as much about the opposition and put out a team that has the opposition worrying about us.

Mick McCarthy couldn’t believe his luck when he saw how we were set up at the start of Tuesdays match and said so in the post match interview.

For the last 15 minutes the whole game was turned on its head as at last the Ipswich defence had something to worry about with more than just one player attacking them, and what a difference it made to the atmosphere in the stadium. The belief came back and everybody started to get behind them as we looked a different team altogether.

I know Rosler will stick to his own agenda as past managers have, but surely he can see the difference between the 90 minutes against Birmingham and the first 75 minutes against Ipswich. It doesn’t need a genius to work out why we were so different.
Sums it up perfectly.

Let’s hope the powers that be are taking note.

Waghorn and McLean had so much more attacking threat when they came on.

Herr Tinkerman won’t see it that way though at Bournemouth.

Why is Barnett not starting? IMO our best defender now Boycey is past it. He’s big, strong, quick and can get his leg over when needed (or is that John Terry? )

There are lies, damned lies and statistics.

We had 62% possession and lost.

    20 goal attempts…3 on target.

    13 corners…no goal from corners.

So after about a month without a home game, youngsters who either have school the following day or have early bedtimes won’t be able to go.

The club is selling its future soul.

The fanbase will vote with its feet. Or its sole, more accurately, I guess.
Shows what you two know.

    Highest crowd so far.
Indeed, our popularity is rising.

Makes a difference though not having a home game for 23 days compared to having 2 in 7 days.

Can anyone remember how much a season ticket was for W4 in the 2005/2006 season

    TA

    £375

2006-7 it went up to £410 but renewal price was £375 again.

Think it was 2007-8 it was cut to £250

Do you sit near me and Griff by any chance Electricblue?

    Slight correction… £380 sorry not £375.

Wont last till xmas at this rate

After tonight Christmas looks a very long way off for Uwe.

The 3 subs looked the sharpest by a mile, but that wouldn’t have been difficult after what had gone before.

Bournemouth, Notts F and Wolves coming up….could Brentford on 18th Oct be the end?

76% possession and zero points; sounds familiar ???

Tip, Tap, Tip, Tap, Tip, Tap :silly: :silly: :silly:

Huddersfield on Tuesday…dropped 2 points got a point.

Not seen the highlights, but did Everton get a free kick 20 yards from the opposition box and with the ignorant audience members expecting a ball into the box, the free kick is taken and the ball passed back 50 yards to the centre back…?

10 seconds later frantic defence of the goal…the ball having not entered the opposition penalty area….does that sound familiar?????

Possession is 9/10ths of the law as they say…shame Bobby doesn’t look for the other 10% very often.

I haven’t seen anything of the game, but kept an eye on BBC website text last night.

60% possession away from home against a team below us and no goal(s).

We really do need to put a winning run together PDQ. 3 wins and it will all look so much better; 3 defeats and it doesn’t bear thinking about

We’ve brought in what we hope are good signings in the window. Another couple of games without a win (given the form this season, Brum aside and end of last season) and I fear DW’s firing finger will be getting twitchy.

We must be challenging the top 6 by the end of November, ready to launch a big assault on promotion. Otherwise it’s time for a change of manager.

There’s too much talent available to us for the league position we are now in.

I would imagine a conversation has taken place about where he expects the team to be by a certain point like he did with Jewell in the 2002-3 season.
Id be very surprised if the plug was pulled any time soon however we have started this season in a similar vein to last year so I would speculate December time will be the target month just like it was last year.
maybe it will all start to click soon but bear in mind the club is in a massive transitional period so some patience is needed by us all ….. For now
Indeed, Uwe will be given more time…

I didn’t want anyone to think I was trying to start some “Uwe Out” campaign, far from it.

Results (Birmingham aside)haven’t been good for quite a while. We have a squad which should be doing much better.

In the Premier League we expected (if not accepted) that we would lose a few games. In the Championship, every game is winnable.

Results do need to pick up quickly, otherwise DW’s patience wont last for ever
