GC is our new manager – end of so lets just give the guy a chance and get behind him. If MacKay was only saved by the Reading result do you think the powers that be haven’t been thinking about their options? I’d rather give a Latics man who wants the job a chance than bring in someone who’s out of work because he’s not delivered the goods at his previous club(s). Cauldwell knows the club and how it operates. He knows the players probably better than previous managers so he should know who are fighters and who are make weight. If we get relegated under his watch we are no worse off than we are now. His team selection, style and passion over these next 5 games will show what sort of a manager he will make. Lets just give him and the team our 100% support. Believe!!!!!

    Well said, Colin from Eccleston.

The Fulham home game sticks out for me as we had been unbeaten at home all October and had just beaten Derby away.
A last minute equaliser changed the course of this season and it would be interesting to see what would have happened if we had won this game.

Let’s hope Fulham away is the next turning point then.
    C’mon Tics Men.

As somebody has pointed out on another site didn’t Swansea appoint a former player with no managerial experience? Twice. And Martinez and Monk haven’t done bad for themselves. The problem with experienced managers willing and able to take us on is that they are experienced in failure. I’m pleased with this appointment. Young keen and full of fresh ideas. And probably not a table tennis table in sight.

I like your thinking Otterman. Any top Manager has queue of cop clubs after their services; whereas the Managers that would actually come to Wigan are journeymen with plenty baggage and failures on their CVs.

Well I think today’s events answer the question !
No conspiracy, we haven’t even got a plot !!!
I think DW has lost all interest, for some reason or other.

Millwall winning has put a spanner in the works! The fat lady is clearing her throat! Derby beat us on Monday and we are as good as down!

Nah, it’ll go to the last game & last kick of the season. So get your train ticket booked for Brentford !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’ll definitely be going LHL.
The wedding is Sunday, and I talked the missus into coming home after it instead of staying over.
I’ll not be able to make too much use of the free bar, but that’s a small price to pay to be able to see the Latics on Monday.
See you at 1.45ish on Monday.

Great, we need everyone available for that game !

    Just listening on Wish.
Everybody around us, losing at the moment; so come on Tics stick one in FFS !

We are bound to scrape a draw; cos I’ve backed a triple of Boro, Knob End & Bristol City win !!!!!!

He must be well pissed off !
Think Kvist should be in our starting line up also.

Are you going on Monday, or are you having a few bevvy’s with Geoff Wrights Dad ?

    Is HORC going ?

Promotion chasing teams can get the jitters at this stage of the season; whereas relegation threatened teams are more inclined to fight like dogs. So I think it is hard to call the games at this stage of the season.
However I do know that we are due a slice of luck soon. Lack of fire power, could be changed with a bit of luck: hit the woodwork 3 times, goal disallowed and 2 point blank saves.

    Vince is backing Rotherham !

Remember you singing at Park Hall in the 70s.

yes, but I also think Fulham also have a real squeeky arse !
Just read their match report from Saturday to see how very lucky they were. Plus I still think it is mentally harder for any team that starts to slip towards the trap door late in the season. Panic sets in; especially for a London team that can’t possibly be relegated.

I’m sure the club will pick up the tab because the policing was on the stadiums land.

Well Bob can now concentrate on the league, without distraction.

First rule as a football club – spend money on the pitch so the team can play on it!

We scored three and won on Blackpool’s sandpit !!!
