This is a worrying statistic really:
Wigan have won only one of their last nine games in all competitions either side of the summer. Their only win since mid-April was 1-0 at Birmingham in the Championship on 29 April.
And we scored in the 2nd minute and spent the following 93 minutes on the back foot in that game.

If it isn’t aimed at me entirely who is it aimed at as I am the only one mentioned, your opening paragraph shows it is aimed at me – this thread has been the only one running here for much of the last 6 months and if you care to look I have had very little involvement in, indeed one of my few posts on it asked for it to be closed.
The thread was not exactly in cyber archives it was only lower down on a rather bleak looking ‘main forum page’ such is its appeal now, my remark was not an attempt to resurrect a stupid thread it was a tongue in cheek development based on recent things happening at WAFC.

Listen DICK I don’t mind sparring with anyone but at least try throwing a few original punches, that way you may just capture someone’s interest and get this board back on track that way we can all perhaps avoid watching the football league show and seeing another helping of dross served up by our commander in chief.

Like I said, you were neither a contributor, a seller, never met up for any meetings or drinks.
If you had the slightest sign of a brain cell in your skull you would know that the thread you brought up from over three years ago had nothing to do with Cockney Latic so what relevance does that have to me not being in your inner circle 20 years ago.
I never had drink with Peter Cook, Richard Ingrams or Andrew Osborne or indeed Ian Hislop in later years, but it never stopped me being an avid reader of Private Eye, I also never contributed to any articles or sold it but supported it through my purchases of every edition just like I did with the Cockney Latic and its competitor Latic Fanatic.
So can you explain what your rant is actually about, and what relationship you think it has with a post I have made on this message board, where good, bad or ugly I have contributed over the years.
Dragging up a post over three years old to prove a point is rather strange behaviour, to be honestI don’t agree with you garswood he is perfectly within his right to bring it up, perhaps if he had done so in the original user name he posted under and not the one he uses now for some reason it would have some credibility.
He also has the temerity to accuse me of hiding!!

I have never avoided anything in my life, I also still use the same name I originally registered with many years ago, I also have never felt the need to masquerade under another username.

Bigger and better than you have never “rattled me”, I happened to have an afterthought about how good this board has become and how you “originals” have contributed to make it such a welcoming, friendly, happening place to spend an hour or two.

For me there was something just not quite right at that fans meet the manager questions thing? Couldn’t put my finger on what but he didn’t come across as amiable ! I thought he was the man for the job and still might prove to be but his tinkering is a concern for me! Was the new striker injured today, if not then a concerning substitution !Brentford fans rated him as arrogant and clueless.

Ah. Just found what you are on about.So he’s had a good game. Didn’t doubt he’s a good player. But Uwe has his system, and decided Dicko didn’t fit into that. He’s doing well, in one game, at Wolves, so good for him.
If you want to understand and appreciate what managers are now doing, and how tactics and systems work, I suggest you read “Inverting the Pyramid” by Jonathan Wilson, and you will maybe understand how things are in the real world.
One player having a good game (and hopefully for him other good games, except against us) does not give any reason why he should have stayed with us. He’s gone – or shall we have a “Bottom Four Nouah Dicko” thread?
Nah we will make do with ‘Relegation Ros’ it has a much better ring to it.
