Back to the Leicester comparison. Jermain Beckford had scored 1 goal in 20+ games playing as a lone striker, switch to 4-4-2 amd he gets a hat trick – Hmmmm Interesting?
Caldwell just aint good enough but at least he tries and looks like he cares.
Alcarez at times looks like he could be good enough but .. reverse the bit above!!
Its the 3 year plan = Anyone know exactly what this is?

Wigan are there own worst enemy, they keep getting themselves in trouble sometimes you have to go long.
How frustrating, free kick, chance to put some pressure on City and they pass backwards putting themselves under pressure.
Yes we played well in the 2nd half and yes they are the richest club in the world but was Joe Hart really better than Ali – No chance?
We had 1 shot again for all our so called nice football – tippy tappy nonsense.
Got lucky with our defending which again was farcial at times – Alcaraz & Caldwell – How much evidence does Roberto need were we need to buy in January?
Before anyone calls me an armchair fan – I’m a season ticket holder who for family reasons was frustratedly pinned to the couch tonight.
How did Callum play?
Bet you anything he won’t be involved against City even if he had scored a hat-trick.
He leaves Moses and Diame on the bench. Two of our best players in the last month. Clever idea Martinez 1-4. Yeah good one. Still clueless then.I presume they were both carrying knocks or something but you never know.
Still looked like 3 centre halves to me – problem was the clown in the middle of the three. Actually all 3 were clowns.
Top bloke, best ammy ref by a million miles – well deserved
The FA have handed Andy Carroll an 8 game run in the Liverpool Team. Dalglish has said he will be appealing ;)
Gomez gave the ball away in the second half and I swear it was the only stray pass he played all game – the tosser was practically apoleptic.
Judge him on his current form not on what he’s done or not done in the previous seasons. Deserves his place at the moment – simple!
I’m not a Gomez fan but got to say he is playing well at the moment. People expect him to play like Moses and get aggravated when he doesn’t charge forward with it, but what he is good at is keeping possesion of the football, very rarely plays a bad pass. Decent free kicks and confident pen taker. He’s never going to be biting in the tackle but the best midfields are usually made up of different types of player, so worth his place in my book.
Actually just realised the picture of the match has got Hendry Thomas on it. How bad is that joutnalism?
A bit of service would help him though – every striker whose played that role has failed to score more than a handful. Its not the striker its the system!
If the manager wants them to play that way – why do the centre halves trot forward knowing full well the ball will never arrive – thats the baffling bit
